Live Stoner Chat Just a spot to bs about motor sports

Haven't been doing much of anything. Can't even get half the parts I need for my shop I run.

I did however upgrade my rc and my grendel. Bought a wrap from gun skinz, new scope, bipod and sighted her in. Shot a 4" target 100yds with bullet holes touching and some I'm sure through the same hole! It was awesome, much needed after being stuck inside for so long.

On my rc car I went with 150a esc made a homemade cap pack, went from a 17t to a 15t because top end was wild. Top speed so far 74mph, and still had more but it's crazy fast at that speed and I'm still a novice. I'll have to video a run and post. The tires look like pizza cutters at that speed. I'll be getting some belted tires soon. Then should be able to handle top end a bit better. When I bought it out was 30 mph top speed and could barely keep straight.

I'll also be updating grow soon. Just been a bit busy here lately making money on stocks. It's a poor man's dream right now. Stocks at an all time low and very sketchy makes for some good money down the road.
Hell ya man that's awesome that's a great setup to have I love the platform it's so cool looking. I'm just starting to play with this traxxas bandit I got for my son it's cool like I said gotta get use to it but I would love to see pic\video that would be sweet stay safe and busy bud.

So got my coilovers in rear control arms front and rear camber kit all new ball joints tie rods inner outter so now I just need to install the rear trailing arm bushings the rear toe link, which I have but weather hasn't been good so makes it hard. I'm still waiting on front lower control arm bushings and radius arm bushings and my 255 lph walbro pump and I have to still order the thermostat controled oil cooler and a separate special fitting that allows you to retain the factory oil pressure sensor and allow me to run a aftermarket oil temp and pressure gauge which I have to do then I can start buying turbo parts. So the first 2 pics are wat came out which was imho totally unsafe then a pic of old rear lower control arm next to new one and finally the new coilover

This is the second BMW 2002 that I've had possession of. The first one had rotted away and I got lucky a few years later and found this rust-free example. I used to always get approached by guys that told me that they used to have one and they all said the same thing.. "I wish that I never got rid of it" ..Understandably so, I swore that I'd never get rid of this one. Of course, life throws curve balls our way every once in awhile. Anyway, this one had twin Weber 40 carburettors on original ti intake manifolds, Schrick 292 cam, 9.5 Mahle pistons, 320i 5-speed conversion, tii exhaust manifold, lightened balanced flywheel, 320 Radiator, 528 master cylinder, 320 alternator, tii distributor with Pertronics electronic ignition, Recaros, E30 325 basket weaves, 3:90 limited slip, big brake upgrade, front shock tower bar, Italian front turn signals, custom wood console, custom painted pre-'74 style grilles, Nardi steering wheel, E30 sun visors, duel-foiled chrome wipers, Hirschman jewel-tipped antenna and a shortened bumper conversion. The majority of the upgrades were done by the previous owner. They're not the best photos in the world but aside from some great memories, it's all I have left.

Hey bud that thing is fuckin gorgeous absolutely beautiful, I really like the 60s and 80s through 2000 but after that it's to much extra crap and it's not bmw it's all makes and models, I forget what yr it was but it has 74 on board computers imagine tracking and tracing wire problems or computer problems. The technology is insane and things are getting more and more complex which isn't needed at all. Would love to see or hear about any other cars trucks dirt bikes tractors way ever or even custom DIY parts I will be showing some of mine anyways I hope u can scoop up another as I no wat it's like not having the chassis/car u want/need/know. Sending good vibes and karma ur way.

Thanks, Fitzy. I'm all done with BMWs. This car was a lot of fun even though I started to become a little self-conscious driving it. The newest BMW that I've had in my possession was a 2004 and it had just enough bells and whistles for my tastes but still had the expensive repair / parts bill(s). Nowadays, radio volume can be controlled by sticking your hand in front of the 'radio' and making some kind of hand gesture along with a slew of other non-essential creature comforts. I hate to use the phrase "They don't make them like they used to" ..but it seems to be applicable to most cars these days.

For a boxy little car, they certainly moved right along. The closest thing to a go-kart that I've ever driven.

That way I absolutely hate about cars now sure there fast ECT but ur driving a mini recliner so many stupid supposed creature comforts but 90% are made so the can justify upping the prices constantly the newest car I've owed was a 06 pass at 2.0t fsi and it was ok but parts and labor killed me that's why I really like the late 80s to mid 2000s honda so cheap and easy to work on I can take 10k buy a chasis and build to run circles around almost anything on the autocross/ road course I wish other motors and cars were this cheap I can get a motor with 30k for under 1k$. Like I said I like anything that can be modded and u can fool around on, I absolutely can't get enuff lol.

I hear you. I've always liked the late 80s Hondas although most of the Hondas in my possession were pre-'88. Currently driving an '08 Acura TSX and I love it. It's actually the first automatic that I've enjoyed driving. A lot of people mod the heck out of them but I'm getting to be a bit too old for that. Nothing wrong with modding if that's your thing. :eyebrows:

That's actually 1 of my all time favorite cars bud 07 08 had the 205 up k24 ivtec motor which is one of the best motors ever produced I prefer the 6sp but I had a Acura cl v6 auto and I actually didn't mind it. And wats this nonsense ur to old lol never say that man I mean I get ur not going to cut it up and do crazy stuff to it but there are plenty of bolt on parts 0 modifications needed not saying you should mod it but ur never to old my buddies grandpa died about a yr ago but he drove a AC Daytona cobra with 700whp every weekend rain or shine only time it sat was winter and his 2 dailys he had one was a simple bolt on mustang and a bolt on diesel with a programmer lol another bud and his dad are building a 427 big block 66 Malibu chevelle with all new motor cams rockers ect and big sway bars and coilovers strange axles ect and he has a built bike I think it's a roar warrior I could be wrong though he will be turning 60 in a wk lol awsome guy too. One of my friends dad is building a Bentley Continental gt with the w12 bi turbo right now it's pretty cool I will have to get picks of them up. Anyways I hope u hang on to the tsx they are great car insanely reliable and it's really cool how it constantly adjusts cam timing all through the rev range advancing or regarding to make more power when I floor it or more gas mileage if ur highway driving.

I'm pleased with the 205hp but not too keen on the lack of torque. I forget how many ft/lbs it is but it's a little weak in that regard. After hearing your testimonial about your buddy's grandfather, I suppose I'm not too old for mods. However, they'd need to be stealthy because I'm all done with people trying to race me because they see what I'm driving. One of the things I like most about the TSX is that it kind of blends in with all the other cars. Not that it doesn't have its own unique style but after driving so many BMWs for so many years I got tired of the unsolicited races that often presented themselves on the roadways. I think if I were to do any upgrades that I'd do a reflash and then put a box of Kleenex and an 'old man hat' in the back window just to let people think that I'm really old and not interested in racing.
