Live Stoner Chat Just a spot to bs about motor sports

Yes @Fitzy the new mid engine corvette was in my opinion necessary to get to the next level of performance and handling to keep up with the competition. At 70+ grand I wont be getting one but they are fun to look at. I get the magazine Motortrend and the March issue they put it up against a Shelby Mustang GT 500. The Vette is reported to have 495 HP against the Stangs 760HP and the Vette still has a slightly better 1/4 mile time so maybe the mid engine is good. I am a little partial (Chevy Guy) I had a 1971 Camaro SS back in the day and still drive Chevy trucks. I dug out an old polaroid pic and took a pic of it.

I like that new reg cab reg bed truck jeep makes but the one I saw was 43k lol I wouldn't mind rock crawling or hill climbs.
Just Empty Every Pocket. I bought mine for 4k "just to bounce around town and go to the beach". Then I met some rock crawlers-- 2 builds and 50k later I'm wanting to go Ultra4 racing and lookin at another 50k-----maybe not. That old guy sex comes with a hefty price tag-but I guess most sex does. SxS's are the way to go now.

So @LazyNhazy @faded187 @Sour D @Green Hornet @Jean-O and anyone else wat do you guys think of the new corvettes mod engine setup? I'm not 100% sold on this simply bc when I think of a corvette I think muscle car atleast till the c6 era then it was a super dresses up muscle car and starting to lose its self. I not saying it's not cool it's not like wat they did to the Monty Carlo but if GM wants a GM version of Ferrari then build one and keep the vette more muscle car. I wouldn't mind checkin one out again they are impressive expensive also very similar to the supra that Toyota made very cool car but also expensive I think that's going to kill sales a bit I would think and in comparison to the older one the older ones were cheaper. I know that inflation and other things account for some of it but I also think they keep trying to make them compete with xyz exotic car and the reason the exotic cars are so pricey is bc the race developed programs they will use a bunch of real racecar stuff in production cars and that kind of r&d and quality cost money. Anyway wats your thoughts.
I hate to say it but not a fan of Corvettes or chevy's. Im a Ford guy. If I were to ever get a muscle car it would be an old Mustang. Im more of a truck guy though A big jacked up 4x4 F-150 is more my style.

I want a 98 or so ranger with the 2.3 turbo motor from the new Mustang or even the eco boost motor my first project car/truck was a old 2.3 turbo in the first year the ranger was a mini truck (83) so I'm partial to them. But I wouldn't mind a stadium truck or something similar with long travel suspension not necessarily lifted.

I no it's a better layout and everything and again it's cool but they should have named this car something different and kept the vette a muscle car they are trying to compete like Ford did with Ferrari in the early days which is cool but the vette gets more and more out of reach for the normal guy which is where it's roots are now money wise its the most expensive vette yet. Again I like it but to me it's like when the Camaro came back some how they got it right and wrong@ the same time I mean they look import like and I don't like that it would be like Honda making a muscle car I don't think I would buy that myself and only bc that's not wat there known for. That's funny they put a mustang up against the vette, Chevy knows the Camaro is the contender to the stang I wonder how the vette does against a Camaro. I've heard ford is making a new ford gt40 like car that's the one to pit against the vette. Anyway it is pretty smart idea it only took them decades to produce a real racecar I can't wait for the trans am racing serise to see them in action.

So ordered a set of coil overs for my car 24 rebound adjustments 450in lb fronts 350in lb rears I also ordered whiteline solid rear trailing arm bushings, aluminum rear lower control arms and spherical toe arms. I've already installed front and rear camber kit, a passenger side axle, axle seals, inner and outer tie rods and upper and lower ball joints. Here are some pics

No but it will be a bit lower but not much I don't think it's practical to lower the car much and no it won't be a chambered out rice car, not saying it won't have a negitive camber setup but not shit like you see now a days. Negative camber is great for handling but too much is detrimental just like lowering a car most people think the lower the better it handles but u can lower a car to much and it will negitivly affect handling. I will post some pics Wednesday as that's when they should be here. I'm the kind of guy who likes clean oem plus themes so it looks like something that honda or whoever makes also the biggest thing to me as far as mods go they need to be functional as I drive 30k to 50k a year so I'm very picky as fat as that goes don't care much wat it looks like but it needs to perform and have great reliability or be super cheap and plentiful. Anyhow you doing any tinkering? Would love to see and talk about other builds ect also check out fasterproms pfi speed and Cletus MC Farland on YouTube think you will really dig it all kinds of cool builds lots of tunning info ect street bike golf carts fuel injected turbo shopping cart gocart one I no u would like is the slingray fasterproms has a clip of tuning and ripping it on the road they also built a 500whp smart car that's pretty cool checked out.

Haven't been doing much of anything. Can't even get half the parts I need for my shop I run.

I did however upgrade my rc and my grendel. Bought a wrap from gun skinz, new scope, bipod and sighted her in. Shot a 4" target 100yds with bullet holes touching and some I'm sure through the same hole! It was awesome, much needed after being stuck inside for so long.

On my rc car I went with 150a esc made a homemade cap pack, went from a 17t to a 15t because top end was wild. Top speed so far 74mph, and still had more but it's crazy fast at that speed and I'm still a novice. I'll have to video a run and post. The tires look like pizza cutters at that speed. I'll be getting some belted tires soon. Then should be able to handle top end a bit better. When I bought it out was 30 mph top speed and could barely keep straight.

I'll also be updating grow soon. Just been a bit busy here lately making money on stocks. It's a poor man's dream right now. Stocks at an all time low and very sketchy makes for some good money down the road.
