Outdoor Jravens Alaska Summer 2020

Made it home with boat and crew intact:bighug:
Hope everyone is having a great growing season. There wasn't much (well, almost none) sun here while I was gone they say and the plants show it. Grey, rainy and 52-57F temps lol. The Danes look pretty good though :smoking:
Hard to say whether the trip was a job or a vacation lol... a job with lots of fun and pleasant moments or a vacation with some hassles but it did sweep some of the cobwebs from my brain at least temporarily. Had a great time with my old friend, he was probably just the right person to have along. Weather was pretty decent though we did have a few harbor days...and the more worrisome open water crossings went real well.

glad all is well.

How far are you from civilization up there? As in, can you drive to a local store to pick up milk?
We have a small convenience store in the village about 10 minutes away by skiff. A couple small towns 100 miles away (across the bay by skiff) then road, first 40 miles gravel. And a couple towns 45-50 miles away by water (bigger boat) So we are fairly well removed from it. Just barely off the road system but way off the grid

:pighug: :pass::woohoo1::woohoo: Weclome back Jraven Bro ! I bet the girls would have missed you and your care, Thats pretty chilly for your summer temps, and the scenery is spectcular there in Alaska. Glad you had a great time sailing i think you would like Jimmy Buffets songs

Thanks smokey I think we listened to some Buffet on the trip lol :smoking:
I hope I can get the plants to grow a bit more, looks like the danes (photos) will be ok but the autos are all pretty stunted. Pics soon.
