A while back I won some seeds in the best bud/cola competition. The time has come to grow them.

I picked this strain because it's sativa dominant, and had an estimated yield of 6-16 oz per plant.

I've never pulled less than 8oz off a 5 months photo strain, so I need similar yield/months/sqft for my energy cost per gram to work out.

Soaked for 8 hours then straight to rooting cubes over the heated mat

2/2 sprouted. @Jean-O 's website suggests large containers for better yield, so I'm putting one in a 13 gallon and the other in a 5 gallon.

Soil is Coast of Maine Platinum. My first grow with this media. It looked heavy, so I added a bit of perlite for better drainage.

One opened by itself, the other stuck, and I helped it. It probably would have been fine without me.

Topped both today about 5th node.

Quite short, 6" above ground.

Trained both into a sort or menorah shape, trying to keep the top level.

Bloom has started.

13 gallon on left, 5 on the right.

Just finished up a couple HH.What a pleasure to grow.Super croped like yours and that was it.No defoil at all except for a couple leaves on each plant that where in the dirt.Got about 6 zips per.Wonderful smoke.Very uplifting but not racey at all.

About 7 weeks now.

Buds are sort of an advanced puffball, and starting to get a solid center. Not quite what I consider mid bloom yet.

The first one is the 13 gallon, the other is the 5. The 13 is noticably bigger.

The discoloration of lower leaves is nutrient splash.

About 60 days

Leaves are starting to sugar up, pistils are beginning to turn orange.

No room smells, but rubbing a leaf Gives a citrus, floral and pine whiff.

I'm feeding a ¼ tsp each Megacrop 1 part, and bud hardener per gallon every watering.

65 Days.

Not quite to my definition of late bloom yet.

Getting more orange hairs. Calyxes are just starting

75 days above ground.

Buds are starting to choke up, but still plenty of fresh pistils. If this was a first grow you'd be asking if it's done yet. It's not.

No leaf fade and still drinking plenty.

I'm guessing another 4 weeks.

Appx 85 days

Started throwing new pistils, possibly the beginning of foxtails. No amber yet.

I'm checking very carefully for hermies.

Going to let it go at least another week, foxtails are still mass.

All chopped, and in the Cannatrol to dry/cure.

Despite descriptions on the vender's website I'm definitely getting a watermelon smell/taste from samples.
