I'm going to start documenting each strain as a different thread. My current method uses 5 gal Air Pots, Promix HP, the full Advanced Nutrients supplemental line, plus Cal/Mag, and Sensi Bloom A&B. Lighting is Illumitex Neosol DS 520W on a 24/7 schedule. The room is custom built, just 2x4s and plastic held together with duct tape and staples, roughly 7ft by 14ft.

This journal is for Sweet Seeds - Red Poison, which I didn't intend to grow again, but did simply because I had extra seeds and am trying to get used to a perpetual growing cycle. My first go with this strain was only successful with one of 3 plants. Two of the plants stretched out of control, with one having wrinkly leaves and both having small stalks, yielding only 5oz between the 2. The 3rd was a stout bush that needed virtually no training and was arguably one of my best looking autos to date yielding nearly 5oz.

Stout and bushy.

Tall stretchy and wrinkly (the 2 in the back corner).

Bud pictures for the stout and two stretchers respectively.

With all that said the new results have been much better. I've been dialing in the nutrient schedule, and also watering the core of the pot before germinating directly. The changes seem to have paid off as these are some best plants I've grown to date. That's it for the preamble, now to introduce the new ladies!

Going from newest to oldest these are my latest rounds of Red Poison. I always note the date the seed went in the dirt as I count germination time as part of the grow.

From seed 12/24, roughly 14in wide by 16in tall.

From seed 12/17, roughly 18in wide by 18in tall.

From seed 12/10, roughly 12in wide by 14in tall. This was the only attempt I made at starting a Red Poison in a plastic cup and then transferring it after a week to it's finishing container. The plant is going very quickly, but has no size or yield potential. I'd cut it down in a second if I need the space, very disappointing.

From seed 12/3, roughly 24in wide by 24in tall. At day 49 this is by far the biggest and healthiest auto I've grown to date and takes up half of a 520w LED by itself. Very excited to see this girl finish!

That brings us to current, more to come!

So I took the pretty red hydra down yesterday. Took me forever to trim but the buds were surprisingly dense despite the height of the colas. I'm hoping for a good yield on this girl, even though it was only 73 days from seed to chop.

Final Pictures 12/10 - 2/21

Took down this monster red poison yesterday, 11 weeks from seed to chop. Took 8 paper grocery bags to evenly lay out all the buds for drying. A little on the fluffy side, but she'll dense up as she dries. Color is fantastic!

Train, train, and train some more. I only had 1 of 7 red poisons turn into a bush naturally, all of the other 6 needed tons of low stress training. I'm glad I didn't give up on this one, red poison is probably the fastest finishing plant I've grown that's huge both in height and yield.
