New Grower It's beginning to get exciting

Took some much better pics tonight. She seems to have responded well to my strap up job. I also snipped away any yellow dead or dying leaves from around the base to spruce her up a bit. Energy better spent elsewhere I think.

I'm hoping she'll put a final spurt on before going into flower soon. :D

Day 35

Flushed the soil through yesterday in prep for the flowering phase starting tomorrow. Mixed up some bloom nutes at 25% dosage this evening to begin feeding her tomorrow, along with a reduced light schedule, from 18/6 to 12/12. So far so good. She's looking pert and healthy. Hopefully this will bode well for a good spurt in growth in the next few weeks.

Peace.

Day 40.

I can't seem to get these pics to display the right way up, so apologies in advance for causing any neck aches! lol

She's really starting to get some bud on now. Not the biggest auto flower granted, but really pleased. Its been pretty uneventful, and dare I say, straightforward recently. Apart from a daily feed, she's pretty much looking after herself.

I've been giving her 500ml of PH corrected water at 25% dosage of bloom nutes each day. I'm going to increase to 50% for the next 5 days. The light schedule is currently 14/10 on/off. She's still increasing in height at around 1cm per day. Once this has stopped, I'll reduce to 12/12.

As always, opinions, observations, advice welcome! :)

Hi Smithers,

Plant looks good and is starting to flower nicely. Why the decision to reduce the lighting schedule? While you can get decent buds on 12/12 more light is almost always better.

Thanks oldster. Just from what I've read of people's grows to be honest. I guess it's not really a necessity with autos. I'd be lying if I said a saving in my energy bills wasn't a factor lol!

Most folks around here seem to either go 18/6 or 20/4 or even 24/0 with autos

Oh dear....schoolboy! :face: lol!

I'm on a 14/10 at the mo. I never did go down to 12/12. So if I were to whack it back up to say 18/6, would it freak the plant out?

Anyway, some bud pics at day 53.

Thanks to the very helpful and knowledgeable folks on the AFN live help thread for identifying a Mg deficiency in the girl. She's now on a treatment of calmag and seems to be responding ok. :)
