New Grower It's beginning to get exciting

Cheers mate! Two weeks is my estimation too. I'm kind of keen to wrap this up so I can have my spare room back lol!

Day 77 - HARVEST! Or so that's what the 'schedule' says, but maybe you could judge for yourselves from the attached pics taken today. I was thinking of giving her the chop this weekend.

From my limited experience and from what I've read on line, I don't think she's ready. There's still plenty of white pistils, although I'd say a good half of them have browned. I've been flushing through with water for the past week now. The smell is lush! :D

Grateful for any opinions.

Perhaps your decision to chop them is predicated upon getting your room back IMHO you may have 2 more weeks to go but I'm sure there will be more experienced growers along to advise you accordingly . :goodluck:

Yes, I want my room back, but not at the expense of an inferior crop. If it takes another two weeks then so be it. I'm beginning to think maybe I started the flush a bit prematurely. If she does have another week or two I could have continued to feed her nutes for another week, which would have probably made her even bigger! :( The life cycle of this particular strain seems to vary considerably. Dutch Passion stated around 10-11 weeks, which was what my original schedule was based upon. But I think TaNg's infamous grow was around 85 days, and more recently a guy on here called The Groff went all the way to 90 days and still felt it could have gone longer.

It's around this point in the plant's life cycle that a beginner like me runs the most risk of fucking it up through impatience, and I have no intention of doing so. From what I've read, the signs that the plant is ready to harvest are that 90% of the pistils have turned and, depending on individual taste, trichomes have turned cloudy. Neither of these seem to be the case yet for my plant.

You got it brother . I've got 10 plants at 10 weeks and I'm chompin at the bit to jump in there with my machete and taste the fruits of my labor. I've cut back to 50% nutrients for 2 weeks and then just water for the final week ?? :dance2:
