Hi Guys

I just wanted to ask if anyone can tell me what is going on with my Autobomb? She has 'canoeing leaves' on certain leaves (bigger fan leaves) and on about 4 she has these brown rust colour marks, developed them in the last few days. There was lower leaf yellowing so I thought it was early signs of Cal/mag but then the leaf edges got burns and looked a lot like potassium deficiency...this was before any feeding so I gave her a first feed and she reacted well, also a dose of cal/mag which I thought helped, then all of a sudden this started happening and the leaves have started with the canoe thing again.
Sorry as my HPS is on so the pics don't show exactly how much there is, the bits that look like green splotches are also brown..you can see the browning on the top left of the close-up. The damage is pretty bad and not sure what I can do to fix this? I had also thought it may be a boron def?

wow!!! has a toxicity vibe to it to me right off the bat... but lets go through basics... ph? water?

you are in hydro right?

also what nutes are you using... how many days in... water source... any and all info is better... :smoke:

Hey JM
Thanks for the quick response..
Yeah I am in Hydro..my PH pen is still being sent to me from the US because over here they are minimum $100. I have a liquid test kit thing that isn't great but shows me my water source is around ph8 and I mix that with ph4.7 bought water that takes me to around 6 when I feed and put water in my res.
I'm using Biobizz nutes (Agitos recommended dosage, which seems to be working well) and have only fed her twice, first was about 25 days in, she is at day 35 now, I fed her second time at around day 30. I have also given her cal/mag and Fulvic acid, but only gave her that last night after I took the pics.
I think this must be a PH problem because it has been in the past...also difficult cos I am ot sure of what organic or natural additive I can use to bring the ph down.

does not look like mg whats the auto pot potting mix does it hold enough air?
i would not use organic nutes in an hydro setup unless i had to, your ph might be to low

ahh thanks for the fillin... if you suspect ph that make my suspicions great toward that...

lol... soth park popped in my head... lol "I've got a raging clue!!!" lol :crying:

sorry...

anyway... organic ph down... although it sdoesnt last verylong i find (a day or 2) is vinegar....

tell me... are you bubbling your water real well?

have you considered alternative water sources?
last place i was at was 8.5 and up ph... no good... took shit tons to correct it... so i switched to rain upon FD's reccomendations... and worked like a charm... rainwater was consistent 6.5ish def 6.0 - 7.0 range...

on the test liquid if you're having trouble reading the color... you can add a few extra drops to darken the color up... then hold it up to a nice white fluorescent light to read the color...

stills seems bit toxicity to me.. especially since you fed effectivey 5 days ago... usually takes about that long to show up.... but def recheck ph first...

:smokebuds:

after that... if your ph is on target... i'd reccomend a flush out... and thn reset nutes... :smoke:

all ph adjusted of course

The mix is 50/50 Hydroton and Promix Ogranic which is a mixture of mix of perlite and coco peat, worm castings, bat guano, turbo grow, diatomaceous earth...
I also have an air bubbler so I think it should have a lot of air going to the roots..what's wrong with organic nutes in hydro? The owners of the store had told me they actually work best in an Autopot setup, and that it's the only setup you can use organic nutes. Should I change to chemical nutes instead?

Im not 100% sure either if its soiless a stronger feed may be needed and is the ph checked after nutes

good point.... acts like toxicity to me though... somethin buggin me about it like that... maybe just a ph lockout and unbalance causing a toxicity in 1 and def in the other? hmmmm

:crying:Lol I loved that episode!
I will try the vinegar, I have also read citric acid will help for a longer term effect, so may try that. I have a bubbler at the bottom of the pot below the hydroton and the air pump is always set on high.
I was considering buying water here that is the correct PH, because I stay in a flat I don't have any other sources really...
Cool, I think I will do that exactly...I am going out soon to get the citric acid and water just incase, and will proceed to get this sorted out asap.
