Is something wrong? Some people said they don't look right.

We've discussed this before I've grown in autopots for years and you will never get a complete dry spell they will always have a small amount of liquid in the bottom as the only time mine are dry is if I had a blockage. Also I've just upgraded to to new 2020 valve and floats and they act the same

I know that. My trays were staying at half, never going below or above.

Here's a quote from @Olderfart, "How the valve should operate: If the Autovalve is operating properly, it will fill the tray until the water is about 25mm deep, and not further. It will then not refill the tray until it is virtually empty. Virtually empty means that no more than a couple mm of water is left. "

So I'm troubleshooting my setup so it drains until theres only a couple mm of water left not stay at 50%-or-so capacity.

Also to note, I have the 2020 version. I just bought the autopots a couple months ago.

Hopefully this helps someone who is checking in on this.

Version doesn't matter, behaviour is the same. The new one will likely flood a bit quicker given the larger tube size, but the valve function is identical. As I mention in the sticky, an easy way to test your valve behaviour is to suck the liquid out of the tray to make sure that it does not start to re-fill before it is virtually empty. That way you do not have to catch it by keeping a close eye on it until the plant uses up the liquid. A turkey baster works fine, and is now part of my kit.

Good luck with it.

To each their own. I'm trying to get my autopots to drain almost all the way like Olderfart says. I know it won't get dry, but it staying at a constant water level isn't how it was intended to work according to AutopotUSA documentation I've read and some videos I watched on how Autopots work. Like I said, I took a syringe to drain the water out manually and this time I could tell that the water level went super low before water came in to fill it up again. Which is how I want mine to work.

Regardless, if it works for you then keep on going on.

I've grown with them since 2017 and I grow monster sized girls with them so I'm sure mine are working as they should and I'm sure the levels in them go up and down

Like I said, if it works for you then keep on going on. I'm not trying to debate if your autopots are working, I'm trying to fix mine. Thanks for your input boss.

no problem will leave you to it

Just a little info.. Your post says that you're growing in coco.. It is almost impossible to over water coco.. I've yet to see or read a case of over watering in coco.. Over watering is not causing the drooping.. Over watering is causing the multi layered leaf discoloration, and over watering is not causing the nute burned leaf tips.. My autopot trays never empty unless I turn the valve off. They stay close to half full.. I've never seen over watering in an autopot system... When the valve fails, the trays over flow and can flood the tent. I've see that a few times, but never over watering.. I think your issue is with the feed like Man-O suggested. I no longer comment or try to resolve Mega Crop issues, so hopefully he can assist further. Either way, your plant is on the verge of/ start of nutrient lock out due to over feeding. That's per the nute burned tips and fading leaves. The issues will start to progress quickly if not addressed soon though.

Well, I have no fucking idea then.

There's conflicting information everywhere when you're growing cannabis, so at the very least I write down most of the stuff I try so there's some evidence. I've had daily pictures of my grow as well, and as much information as I care writing down.

Couple people said they look fine and they're just a little overfed. @Proph came in and said my plant is on the verge of nutrient lockout and I need to address it. I even mentioned flushing or asking if I should earlier as well.

So what I got out of this and most cannabis problems I come across with:

Just try shit till something works.

You're over thinking it.. Trust your gut.. You posted in the infirmary because you felt like something was wrong.. And you are correct, something is wrong.. So anyone saying your plant looks fine obviously doesn't know how to read a plant. My advice is usually the same to everyone in the infirmary.. Learn how your nutrient line works... Learn how/when plants use nutrients.. Learn to read the plant. It has all the answers.. Not us.. It tells you exactly what's going on and it never lies.. Look at the pics you posted on page 1... The ONLY thing that causes tip burn/yellowing is overfeeding.. Nothing else causes that. Once over feeding starts, multiple issues arise because too much of one single nutrient can lock out several other nutrients making them unavailable to the plant. It's not "Proph" that's saying this.. It's your plant... Proph is just relaying the message, lol. Trust the plant.. If you don't believe me, look again at your pics.. Google over feeding and nutrient lock out.. Google over watering in coco.. Check out the "dialing in mega crop for autos" thread..

My honest opinion is that your plant is having the same issues as 75% of the mega crop fed plants I see right before flower. Overfeeding.. Then once flower hits, they increase the feeds as the directions say, and then it only gets worse. Do I think 1.4 ec is too high? Yup... But forget about me, lol.. What does the "plant" think? Those yellow tips say yup, the plant thinks it's to high as well.. Again, I think your issue is with the feed mix like Man-O suggested. Members here have spent years trying to dial in mega crop and the different versions of it. Man-O green is one of the few that has found a system using mega crop that works for him and doesn't fry his plants. Hopefully he can drop a suggested change to the mix..
