Good afternoon all, morning for some I an sure... I have been a member in the past but can not seem to track down my old accounts, so set up a fresh one.

I am about to set up a new grow, just waiting on a few things to be delivered. Will look forward to sharing my journal as I go along, and getting reacquainted with peeps.

Side question... I ordered some Coco from Coco&Coir a UK based company and just opened it, and it is covered in a white powder/dust, almost looks like mould but I am unsure, as a new user to Coco, can someone advise if this is normal.

I have used coco brick twice and it was just brown nothing like that.
Try an email and a pic to manufacturer? May be something they added? I would not use it until its confirmed safe!!

Welcome growbro I'm not sure about the white on the coco @Mañ'O'Green may know I generally use canna coco

That might just be dust from the perlite. If it is it will feel gritty between your fingers. If it feels smooth and then slippery when wet it would most likely be mold. If mold then sanitize it with 10% bleach before you rise well several times. Then precharge with 150 PPM of Cal-mag.

Thanks after remembering that I picked up coco/perlite mix I am sure it is fine, has been soaked and mixed into my BioBizz Light mix.

Question for anyone... I purchased worm castings after reading a Dinafem article for AF strains... They say to place some at the bottom of the pot, so roots get to it once old enough, but the way I read the article seems to suggest you use worm castings instead of other nutrients, atm I have some BioBizz grow and bloom.

No rush for a response as I have not even put the seed in kitchen towel yet.

Cant decide between my King Kush CBD, White Widow CBD or Strawberry Pie auto.
