Hi everyone.
I started a blue Amnesia xxl grow from dinafem. Just a single plant under a Mars reflector 96x5. She's in a 3 gallon bucket in promix premium organic vegetable and herb mix, which I now regret, since she might get burned in flower or might display nitrogen toxicity like my other plants. Just learned of this issue with the mediums with nutrients. I plan on getting new soil before I start another one, which I would like to do soon if you have any soil recommendations.
Also, the top layer is gnat nix, which has been keeping the gnats from my other plants from invading this bucket.
Light schedule is 12/12, but since she's young I have 58W of 6400k CFLs on her during the day. She began germination on July 9th, rapidly producing a thick taproot in under 24 hours that was ready to be planted. The pic below is today, day 14.
From my last go, I've learned to really ease back on the amount of water I'm putting into the soil at this stage, and she seems to be doing well so far. I've only given really small amounts of phd water around the root zones to provide moisture, keeping the bucket light.
I like that she has so far produced increasing numbers of fingers on new leaf growth (1,3,5), which I haven't been able to do yet.
Hope you stay tuned, I have high hopes for this one now that I've gotten some rookie mistakes out of the way.
