It just means the tap water has an ec of 0.2 and that's your base. Some tap water is higher and if u use reverse osmosis water your ec and therefore base will be 0.0.

I'm glad my ABB is in the jars already. Kush I agree with SB I kept the water above the bottom of the net pot and they did fine, I think that if you make her work for it, those are precious hours(days) in her short life cycle at a time where she is trying to explode. I am enjoying the Show!

Yeah insert m8... They both got a res change this evening.. Water levels are up again

Just thought I'd try it while I was at work as they were due a change today.. & they both got it...

Now before I start I want to state that I use 20L buckets.. But for the base of the net pot to be slightly submerged then the required amout of water is roughly 13L-13.5L..

Starting/base EC .2/70ppm

Starting pH 7

So into the pot went...

14ml each of Micro, Grow & Bloom...

7ml of B-52

12.5ml of VooDoo Juice

5ml of Rhino Skin

2ml of SensiCal Grow (just incase )

Ended up at EC .8/360ppm Which is only just .8 EC... but I know for a fact when I check again in the morning it'll be up again, probably still .8 but in the higher ppm's like 380-390 possibly even 400ppm which will be touching .9EC...

pH ended up at 6.2!! Down from 7 at quarter strength

I just wanna say that this pH perfect stuff is pretty good & is working really well with my tap water... No RO kit about here folks..
Granted as I said before my tap water is pretty good to start with..

I know for sure that even at half strength this stuff will have my pH bang on... With zero adjustment..

How long it sits like that when there a pile of roots in the res remains to be seen, but so far I'm most impressed, pH has hardly budged all week & hasn't budged even .1 since I set it earlier.. Rock on :head:

Yeah I know it's just silica... But I was thinking that I'd run with it as I wanted to try this pH perfect stuff... I have near a full bottle of Essentials silica here from last run.. but I assumed the pH would have went through the roof if it wasn't AN's Own brew...
Maybe it would've been fine to use normal silica due to the fact that the pH perfect stuff is only in the base nutes...

Have to say I was gobsmacked when I threw the RS in & the pH never budged... Maybe I should make up a bucket of base nutes & try the essentials stuff just to see if moves it..
