New Grower III: Fastbuds Jack Herer Auto

Day 19: 5/29 Added nothing.

Finally some innner leaf development! Slow and steady. Might be a real banger in a couple more weeks.

Day 20: 5/30 Added nothing, pulled the support out. Plant is standing nicely on it's own. The pot feels heavy still. This "basement mix" blend is holding onto the water pretty well. Despite being a day older, the Jack is definitely smaller than the Trizkits.

Looking like a proper little palm tree!

Maybe it just needs to pop out a few more leaves to hit critical solar energy mass, then boom?

@WildBill - Thanks for looking. Definitely could be hungry. I did a slurry test initially on the soil as I hadn't used it before and it was recommended for some fruit trees I was planting. Runs a bit hot in the 600-700ppm range. The shop said it had loads of nutrients in it and shouldn't need anything for a while. I was worried about burning up the seedling so I've been trying to run just low ppm distilled pH'ed water through it.

You think I should start maybe 1/4 strength or less, say 100ppm nutes? It's at about week 3.

Day 22: Missed a day so back at it on Day 22, 6/1/21 - added nothing yesterday, letting the pot dry out a bit as it was still very heavy on day 20.

Added 500ml of 50/50 dechlorinated tap water and distilled water - starting point 180ppm and 5.4pH
The tap water here generally hangs out around 212 but todays mix suggests a bit of flux
Once pH'ed and 1ml protekt silica added we were at 234ppm and 6.4pH

500ml in and no run off. Will probably water again tomorrow.

Looks to be getting larger and stronger. Probably start nutrient additions in another 6 days or so. Take it to a full 4 weeks on water only for this hot soil.

Day 23: 6/2 Watered in 500ml 50/50 tap/distilled with 0.5 silica - 150ppm @6.3pH

Got steady runoff. 500ml two days in a row is too much. Nothing for 6/3 and ill back off to 400ml.

Pic: Starting to shape up and look quite nice!

It just may be the camera or lights.

Day 24: 6/3 Added nothing, still a heavy feel to the pot. Maybe water tomorrow. Probably going to full 28 days before adding anything nute wise. Day 29 will be the start of week 5 and the 3rd dose of Miicrobial Mass.

Day 25: 6/4 Added nothing, pot still weighty. Probably need water again tomorrow. The BasementMix really holds onto the water.

Starting to look pretty good. Slow start compared to the Trizkit from Twenty20 but developing nicely now. The leggy stem I created is actually working out well as the lowest leaves are above the edge of the pot. Easy to water and nice airflow.

Everyday more shoots, more leaves!

Day 26: 6/5 Quite the change in one week. Day 19 was still looking a bit scraggly but now? I am quite pleased! Still plain water for this one. Just 400ml of dechloro tap water at 225ppm and 6.4pH, tap is ~212ppm here. I usually cut with distilled but didn't see I was out! I thought the pot still felt heavy so just a bit of water but! No runoff. I will water again tomorrow until I see a bit come through.

Added: 400ml 225ppm 6.4pH

Looking nice:
