New Grower III: Fastbuds Jack Herer Auto

Hi bro I only just found your thread and what your doing for your friend makes you a legend in my book and is that age right on your profile 71

Hey friend,

Thanks for stopping by and the kind words. It was not an easy decision but now I am glad to have done it. My age is correct as far as I know. That said there was a period of moving about country to country in my youth. I suspect I'm a few years younger than the official account and I don't feel terribly old either!

I didn't think to tag anyone, just journaling for fun and easy reference.

Bro you have become one of my fav people your just an absolute gentleman and a true legend and I'm 51 myself

Ah man, you're too kind. I absolutely love the support and help you give everyone. I felt extremely welcomed initially and I have really liked following your grows and grow style. 51? Still young! hahahaha.

Day 13: 5/23 Added 250ml Distilled water with 1/2ml Dynagro Protekt Silicia product and just a dab of molasses.

Water in at 6.6pH and 50ppm

Pics: These poor plants were started too early and had to live under a very high but full intensity lamp for the first few days. Ended up a bit leggy and this guy need a support to prevent bending over. Just a pipe cleaner to lean against for now.

Looking quite nice. 3rd node coming in and I think the tip burn has backed off as I'm only watering in low (0-100) ppm and higher pH range. I also no longer see the yellow swirling marks I did before. I'm also not an eagle eye anymore so feel free to zoom in and let me know what you see!

tip -> thoze lil scrunchie hair clip thingyz around the base of stem work a treat for holdin up a seedling if it'z fallen over ;) ppp

Day 14: End of week 2: Nothing added tonight. Environment adjust as it's a bit hot and sweaty at 82F and 68%RH. Should be just under 80 and closer to 66% by tomorrow. Little hard to gauge settings as there are 3 competing sensors in the tent. I shoot for none of them over 84F temp and none more than 3%RH from target.

Pics: I added the "coil" shaped pipe cleaner yesterday but the plant has already pulled away from the "tall" support it was leaning against and is actually not touching the "coil" either. I didn't want the leaf to start getting damaged leaning on the "tall" guy, but it's all looking good now.

Bam, pulled itself off the support in less than 24hours.

Day 15: 5/25 Start of week 3. Added nothing, just letting it ride. Soil is staying damp at the moment, just a light misty spritz around the periphery.

Standing up on it's own now.

P1030437.JPG

Not looking too bad. I think the 0ppm watering has been helping with the high nutrient soil.

4th starting already! Another week and probably time to top and start the LST tie down. I will wait to see the 5th node emerge and grow enough to cleanly get blades on the stem. Has worked well so far, but like the title says, this is only grow III.

Day 16: Added first ever attempt at a foliar feed. Sprayed a little an hour before lights out. Also watered a small amount.

Inputs:

Foliar feed 1 hour before lights out @ 110ppm and 6.7pH

Lights on:
Mixed up 500ml total, split between this plant and number IV
Starting 0ppm 7.7pH
2ml Miicrobial Mass - ended up at 357ppm 5.2pH
1/2ml DynaGro Protekt silica product - brought the mix to 376ppm and 6.3pH
Added just a drip of pH UP for a final of: 379ppm and 6.5pH
Watered with 250ml

Got some spotting from the spray. I either have a crap mister or I did it wrong.

Oof, look at that spot I left. Bad job..... I'm posting a help thread as I have questions on the foliar feed and doing it right.

Day 17: 5/27 Added 250ml of distilled water @ 0ppm and 6.6pH

Not doing the best compared to the Trizkit but, the soil isn't the best. I apologize little plant! I had some left and wanted to see how it worked! I won't pull ya. I'll let you grow. I can't kill anything on purpose. I feel bad about all the bugs I squished as a kid.

Pics:

Ok so 24pt font is too big But I can read it!

Might be an ankle biter. I still like it! ( Maybe 24pt isn't too big.....huh)

Day 18: 5/28 Added 500 ml water, got a good amount of runoff. Will be getting less for a little longer. The top had looked dry yesterday so I bumped the water but maybe it just needs less at a time and twice a day.

Mixed 1000ml of 50/50 distilled/dechloro tap starting ppm 93 pH 6.6
Added 1.25 ml Protekt silica brought it to 128ppm 9.2pH
Touch of molasses mix up to 145ppm and 9.2pH
pH Down to final: 153ppm and 6.3pH
500 ml to each plant
