Idea: Application for Testing Seeds

There are some good thoughts on both sides here guys and gals! It has made me think about it and perhaps I'm not ready to be a tester yet, but that is a goal. There are strains that range in level of difficulty of growing. So I think if a grower has a strain they're trying to show is easy and anyone can grow it, may want to use a new grower to show this specifically. Where as they wouldn't them testing a hard strain that takes an experienced grower. But I can see the concern of many with someone not earning their way. I want to earn the right of being a tester when it is said and done. At the same time if I'm asked I will test and document it to the best of my ability. I will start to do some journals and improve anyway I can. And if I'm doing the right things they will ask. I just think the breeders should pick whom they want for whatever reason. If they want testers of all levels cool, if they want expert growers cool. It's their hard work and they should advertise how they see fit. I'll still be buying seeds and growing them.

I have to disagree. With social media and forums such as this, why would a breeder knowingly want someone to display their gear looking like shit? For science? Obviously most testers are sharing pictures. It is free advertising for the breeders. I would not want Johnny Spidermite growing my seeds or showing off anything for promotions.

I think we talk the same language my friend. That's exactly what I mean. The breeders have to say what they want to see and looking for testers.
There must be a level system were the breeder can look for testers.
The people who want to be a tester have to fill out a formula with the setup they use all has to be in a database.

Then the breeders can look for lights medium nute .....and the grow level and can select a tester from this database. If a tester is picked he is out of the database till he showed the one test finished.

I think it's not a problem to find tester it's more a problem to see who is the right tester for the right strain.

I know it's a bit of work to program the code and implement the database to the forum but this would make the seed test much better.

I got much more ideas but iam to stoned to bring them all together lol

I know what you mean. I got the same with my community. I spent a lot of nights. We got our own source code system for our system we developed a wiki with a complete instruction in different languages. A big download area for application and our own system as ready to use section.
We got different programmer teams beta tester for different levels people who translate the wiki .....and more.
The most of the vendors we have worked with are from Korea and China so to chat and talk was only in the early morning.
That was the reason we started to manage that different people from the company's talked to different members of the team.

You hear I exactly understand what you do and you got big respect from my side.

In my line of work in real life I don't use business cards!!!! Ppl see my work and my phone stays ringing and this is why breeder's should want all level of testers
Myself I'm a noobie but I will one day be a more skilled grower and yes @Son of Hobbes I think an application would be awesome. And I also think it's fking awesome you guys get everyone involved !
