New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Plants look great. Have to leave them for the week, so I mixed up some nutes, placed them in containers and will ask my wife to fill when reservoir gets low. She also will refill the humidifier daily. With the new light schedule, I am confident they will make it through the heat until I return. How's that for confidence?
Don't wait for the reservoir to get low. The water level should really be held constant with a top off tank and float valve. Roots that get too dry cause stress on the plant.

Yes. That is what I meant. There isn't a range where I like the water. I marked it for the misses. She will schedule everyday like I do and top to the marked line. The only way it gets too low is if she forgets to check, and I will remind her daily! Lol!

When your plants get big they can drink 6" of water a day which is way too much exposed roots. Keep that in mind for later.

Good point, man. Yeah. I am expecting about a half gallon a day right now, based on what has been happening since I changed the reservoir. I have four gallons of mixed nutes and a gallon of phed water, so will be covered if they start drinking fast this week. I will be watching for increased consumption, though, and can top off in the morning and evening if need be.

If there isn't anything I learned is to keep the water cool, clean, moving, bubbling, phed, ppmed, and at the right level, and it will help the plants withstand whatever is going on on top. The reservoir is top priority when I am here, and will make sure to bug my wife enough while I am gone. I actually think Shen likes taking care of them, though she won't admit it!

She will have names for each plant by the time you come home :funny:. I love my plants. I stopped naming them a long time ago but they know I care..

Do u put silicon in ur feed it’s great stuff I use it in every grow :) it helps fight off pests helps if ur having heat or cold issues by making the plants cells stronger it always comes in handy mate

Hope your feeling better, man! I have heard of the stuff, and that folks swear by it. I added hydroguard to help with the roots. Not worried about pests since it isn't a soil grow and my cabinet is pretty sealed off anyway.

Budzey, I took your advice and super cropped the GG#4! Now it's the same height as the critical purple. Want both to be the same distance from the light.
