I will preface this admitting I likely used to much manure
2 bags of sheep manure, a bag of black earth and a bale of hp promix and likely not enough perlite
I lined the bottom with paper yard bags and backfilled it with perlite and then filled in the rest with substrate
I use a fountain pump attached to a bottle with holes that allow for water to spray on the inside of a bucket to aerate water after leaving it for a day from the tap
Tap ph is 7.8-8.4 but normally sits at 8 my uncle uses the same water but he never said if he ph's his water
I use phosphoric acid to adjust ph I don't have a high quality ph meter but its good with a novice vinegar test
I have flushed twice at this point I only took a reading off the second runoff. In 6.6 out 6.2
I also did a foliar spray with Epsom salts to try and stop what I was seeing as leaf tissue yellowing in the way magnesium deficiency shows. just a pinch for a liter

There was previous nitrogen burn so I am just accepting my fate to religiously flush it but I would be worried about phosphorous buildup around that point, even now I am concerned of it

against all the odds I am gonna say "sit back, stop worrying, take it easy' forget the flush, just water normally with no nutrients or additives, with all that super mix the plants would not need any nurtients or additives for 8-10 weeks, and while the older leafs dont look fantastic the new growth looks very healthy. almost growing too well, like cabbages :smoking: and I like cabbage growth personally.

If anything I would say to only use your acid every other water. oh and imho forget the foliar spray.

I'm just gonna ask...what do you mean by steering and what gives you the idea you need it?.....In other words, what are your concerns about your plant and just what are you asking for. Your dealing with stoners remember. :baked:

The leaf curl I would like to iron it out, some leaves came in very deformed and sort of grew into normal leaves. I can see it growing but I wanna figure out how to get those healthy leaves that reach for the light. I'm scared of it stunting

Edit: Leaves have been twisting here and there and the new growth also has that tip bend. I want to stop using tap but I gotta figure out rain collection, they put lye in our water to fight lead pipes

imho you are over thinking it all, the plants are young strong and healthy...You know, if they didnt like the mix they would not have grown like hell in the first place...
I understand people getting all sciency about growing weed, but, well, its weed, for the most part it will grow in shitty soil, great soil, blocks, paper, peat, coco, and a dozen different ways, So just relax, sit back, roll a bone, dont panic, let them grow, I believe in K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid)

My experience of this cabbage type growth is that it always works great in the end, remember they will "stretch" no matter what, around flowering time.
If you check my earlier grows they also grew like cabbages in the beginning, but ended up fine.

Thank you for the guidance, even if it was to tell me everything is fine. I need to hurry up and wait

Patience truly is, a virtue. :smoking:

You know when people go to the Dr and he says, "Just take an asparin and come back in two weeks if it gets worse" that's' basically how I grow my weed. :funny:

Hey man your plants look nice! I’m on my first grow and one of my plants (Grappa by Mephisto) was super cabbage-y with ginormous fan leaves completely blocking everything below. The fans were so large they inevitably had some dimples or curls. And new nodes were pressed tight against the leaves above it, enough so to make you think you’re just gonna grow a bush. I didn’t do any defol personally, just a little leaf tucking and let nature do the rest. She grew a node behind the others, always the shortest and stubbiest with nothing but huge leaves. And then she came down the home stretch like a bolt of lightning and now she’s the tallest, thickest, and stoutest plant out of 6 in the tent.
