Here is some pics of some thermometer/hygrometers that fit perfect on the top of older mason jars that use the wire retainer setup. I had not seen anyone doind this yet so I thought I would post these.

That's a good idea Scott, using the Hygro as the lid... Thought I would post another cheap hygrometer that fits in almost anything, for those who prefer digital equipment.. It's called the Caliber III and thanks to TBM I now use it during curing and with the digital display it also reads max and min temp/RH%... It costs around 13 bucks and is quite durable...

The best way to cure your weed for sure. You can't mess it up. I just use some cheapo meters from wally world thou, works great.

The place I found the CaliberIII cheapest on was a cigar store online, used in humidors obviously... Had very good reviews online not to mention ThaiBuddahMan uses it so that's a good enough review for me...

I too use the calibre for my curing...has made a difference in knowing where things are....Started using mine with my last harvest of Syrup and AA...now using for getting some Onyx down to spec...Much thanks to TBM for posting a great & very simple curing methiod!

you have to give insight on what this matter's. due newbe such as myself have no clue what it's that for. for all I know is that you store the weed in the jar for moisture lockment

*lol* oops my bad. They are used in the curing process to monitor rh(relative humidity). By slowly drying your buds you can make them taste better and be more potent. This is called curing. There are some really good threads on it here in the harvesting/curing section you can check out. It will make all the difference in the end result.
