My buddy told me to watch for mold in about a month based on my relatively short dry cycle and I'm looking for other opinions.
Here's what happened.

My tent is in my garage.
I chopped my plants at their base and hung them in my tent with a dehumidifier set to 50% because I live in a humid zone.
We had a few unusual days of dry humidity weather during the drying.
After about 5 days they felt ready to jar. I left the lids off some jars for an extended period that hit 70% but for the most part the jars are in the low 60% range now.

They smell intense.
They have been jarred for 6 days.

When they stabilize at about 62% (which they are) do they still need to be "burped"?

Am I at risk for mold based on the information above?

I have a vacuum seal tool for my quart Mason jars. Should I vacuum seal them or at what point should I?

Thanks

Yes you want to burp your jars every day for the first two weeks then less often until after a couple of months I just burp once a month. What you are doing is not eliminating humidity but adding oxygen back into the jar for the breakdown of chlorophyll. This is part of the curing process.

Once you are down to 62% RH you are fairly safe from mold. In all my years of growing I only had one jar get moldy on me after being dried to that level.

What's the average time you leave the lids off while burping?

I live in an area which is extremely humid in the summer (75-90% humidity a lot of the tine, feels like the tropics) and a humidity of about 10-20% in the winter but can bounce to 90% if it feels like it for a day. Most of the tine shen you dry right you're ok. I did lose an ounce to mould before and it was such a bummer because we relied on that weed for my hubbys seizures. I learned something really good that day, have a hydrometer in a few of your random jars from each of your harvests so you can watch how your dried bud really is. I also learned to pack my bud a lot less dense and use more jars than less. I usually put about 5g dry per jar now instead of 10-15 because it lessens the risk of contamination. I also have gone over the top of and burp under my hubby's laminar flow hood to make sure any possible mould gets sucked put. Is that over the top? Yeah it is, but itll get the old bad potential spores out while leaving carbon filtered air and a sanitary environment available for me to check the weed with sterile gloves and a potential spores get some more chances to fly away as I do one jar, clean then another for the first two weeks now.
Now, that's not needed and is over the top. You should be good with the advice given to you above. But after you lose a zip, and you live somewhere an ounce costs 400-500 for legal medical, you dont chance it a second time. I've dealt with PM a lot and it really gets you a lot. So watch for that like a hawk, that will get your dries bud even if you dont think you have it. About 3 weeks after harvest and jarred. BAM you've got it all over and on your bud

Good looking harvest keep it up, you'll be good
