Hey there boys and girls!
I was wondering whether some of you could share your hydro store do's and dont's.
This should be particularly important for areas where the Jazz Cabbage is not really accepted yet, but even in general.

I think generally folks are growing 'tomatoes' in their closets, the MJ is never mentioned, or is it?

thanks!

Many states have a hemp bill that you can register to and grow your own hemp at home. Knowing this, i walk into my growstore and talk about my legal homegrown hemp.

I've found that it's not a good idea to mention to the clerk how much cheaper a certain product(s) is online.
I've caught myself doing this on occasion and it's always uncomfortable for me.

Don't get high and go to your grow store and talk about what you do with their products. Keep all business to yourself...small talk, if any, should be about legal stuff....

Don't continue to use the same shop over and over. Go to different shops, and break up your shopping. If fuzz is lookin' for growers, they watch hydro shops and follow you home.
Phone call away from a search warrant @ that point.

Grow a visible garden to alleviate suspicions.

And while not etiqute, if you're selling whatever on Craigslist, etc, DON"T have people come to your home. Meet them in a public place-like a coffee shop or something. We recently had a guy got killed when 2 guys came by his house to see something he was selling and apparently saw signs he was growing and come back that night and shot him and ripped the plants.

when it use to be illegal to grow in canada I always found the store clerk would dictate what you called your weed. I'd say weed and he'd (or her) would answer back tomatoes. I'm a dumbass sometimes so usually the third time i'd say tomatoes too. I also like paying cash because i don't trust the goverment to spend my money correctly so i like to ask if i get a deal paying cash over using cards. It's canada mate and taxes blow arse.

and 100% definetly don't do this

I appreciate the local shop and I let them know that while I do see things cheaper online, I tell them I prefer paying a bit more to be able to come in and ask questions. Never a mention of cannabis, although a joke about preferring products that don't have a witch doctor smoking a bong on the label went over well. I pay cash in person there. Current situation with covid and masks definitely helps with anonymity.

I also have several other plants growing including some difficult tropicals. I had a bit of reason to go there before this endeavour but had never considered cannabis at all at that point. So get a cover story, stick to it, be friendly but non specific, pay cash.

Wear your mask.
