humidity issues.

what's up guys. I'm on week 2 of flowering and my humidity is running anywhere from 50%-70%. The issue I have is the tent is in the same room as my tumble dryer.

The dryer is vented through an open window but it still keeps the humidity up. I can't really afford a dehumidifer until next month though.

Do you have any suggestions or any tips on how to reduce it? I've knocked the extract fan up onto it's highest setting and opened side vents but there's a chance of some light leakage when the leds turn off in the day time.

Also, I've been chopping away fan leaves that block bud sites from receiving light. Would you remove more or leave as is?

Gorgeous plant my friend. You will be perfectly fine until the buds get dense, by which time maybe you can pick up a dehumidifier. As others mention, more air circulation may avoid a problem even without dehumidification. You do need to check RH with lights out though to make sure it doesn't get a lot worse.

Good luck with it. :goodluck:

Thanks guys, lights on in an hour so i'll add the oscillating fan and see how that fares. I'm starting to get impatient now as i just want this grow to be over so i can start on some auto's for the next one!!

After trying the bigger fan for 24 hours, humidity was still an issue.
This evening i picked up a small dehumidifier to throw in the tent - hopefully I'll get some sort of improvement.

I also gave her a little trim, would you recommend taking more leaves off or leaving for now?

i wouldn't take loads of leaves off matt also can you get that meter up higher as it may be a lot lower up above and as long as you keep good air movement i wouldn't stress too much

I'll leave the plant as it is now then :D

I'm gonna cable tie the thing on the corner post at the same height as the buds!

i just think it may help i also use 2 secret Jardin clip-on fans they move a lot of air in my 4x4 tent

If your humidity is running high and you cannot get a dehumidifier going increase air flow with fans and cut out any fan leaves restricting air flow. The extra air going over the buds will help

I'm hoping it wasn't anything more than the gauge down on the runoff saucer. Been there done that...

Just a follow up, the small dehumidifier I got works wonders. Sitting at a constant 52% humidity.
The old girl is getting on fine.

I did notice these, does this look like it's a hermy or am I just looking at extra growth?

This is almost 3 weeks into flower so hopefully not long until that sweet ass smell comes along!
