I know this has probably been talked about many times so I apologize in advance if I'm asking a question that has been asked many times already.

I have a 36 X 36 x 78 grow tent and I'm having a hard time with low humidity. I don't have the most optimal setup but it's the best I can work with. My tent is situated next to an open window (sometimes cracked). The room in which it's in, has the door closed as well.

I'm having low humidity issues. Right now I have a humidifier inside my grow tent and it's running on max power and the humidity is still only 36%. Very frustrating. I know the pans of water and whatnot do not work. Wet rags only cause mold, etc...

They say recommended humidity is 50 - 60% for cannabis, particularly in veg. Does anyone have any opinion on this? Can respectably large autos grow in such humidity? Should I stress it? The humidity does go up when the light goes off, but I'm still not very comfortable with humidity in the 30's when the light is on, which means it's in the high 40's when it's turned off.

what kind of lights are you running? I have run low humdity, in my area, you grow outdoors, and in the summer the humidity is as low as what you are describing now. I had huge plants. I don't know if it will equate to doing it in a tent though. If everything else is optimal, then you can still get a yield out of it. But I would see about a more efficient/bigger humidifier. DO you have fans set up, and is your tent at tight as you can get it?

Maybe we can get somewhere. I'll be back.

Really and this is just my opinion and experience, humidity does not become a problem until it gets down to about 15%..45% from MY EXPERIENCE is optimal. Temps ehhh I have ran grows in 85 degrees all the way through as long as the humidity is low around 40 or 45. If you have high temps with high humidity then that raises your chances for mold within the buds. Always important to have a fan in the tent, and no it does not have to be oscillating just clip it on a pole above the plants and open your tents rear flap.. it should have a bug screen on it that in combo with your heat exaust being on will be enough air circulation to keep the breeze going. Good luck! (Also try to keep the room your growin in cool that way the air being sucked in through the intake flap will be cool) :)
