The FCC is starting to stretch pretty fast. Most of the branches are up and thru the netting/trellis now. The very bottom 2 branches are not getting light and I do not think they are going to make it up thru the trellis. So two questions:

1. Is it to late to axe this branch in pic with my hand(and same one on the other side)? Or should I just let them go?

2. When do you guys defoliate in week 3 of flower? Is it the start of week 3(day 14)? Or is it closer to end of week 3(day 20)?


The 2 Fantasmo Expresses are doing great! One is showing slight signs of too much Nitrogen(dark leaf tips pointing down...only on main stem). I have been giving them only water and Alliance Bio root inoculant until last watering, when I gave them 2mL of Fox Farms Grow Big(recommends 10-15mL on bottle). That shows you how touchy these Autos can be! Lol.

The last 2 pics are my HBSS's. One is doing good and the other is struggling. One has 7-10 days I think and the other that is struggling, I have no idea! Lol.

Both of my Fantasmo Expresses and my Forum Cut Cookies are full on flower stretch! They are both growing an inch a day! How long does the stretch usually last on autos?

I started "ice flushing" my two HBSS yesterday. They will be coming down this weekend. How low do you guys try to get your PPM's when you flush your soil?

The Fantasmo Expresses are very healthy and growing roughly an inch a day. They were 15.5 inches last Friday and they were 22 inches this morning! The one that I am letting grow in "natural" with no training or anything, seems to be growing better than the one that I pulled the branches down on.

The Forum Cut Cookies got a helluva haircut/Defoliation yesterday. It is also growing at a rate of roughly 1 inch a day! I think when I harvest these 2 HBSS, I am going to throw 1 of my QB120's over this FCC....so that it can finish up under a good light...

White Chem - Day 11

One of my Fantasmos was showing a little discoloration between veins on some leaves so I tested my soil and had a phosphorous deficiency. Makes since because I have been so gun-shy with the nutes on these autos. All three of my plants' soils were phosphorous deficient. So I have given them all a dose of Tiger Bloom and it seems to be doing a bit better. The runoff on my Fantasmos are around 800. The one I'm letting grow "natural"(with no training), seems to be thriving!. It is still stretching a small bit. Eleven days ago it was 15 inches...now it is 28 inches! The other has pretty much stopped stretching and I'm looking forward to seeing these buds swell up!

The Forum Cut Cookies continues to impress me under this 19 W LED and 4 clamp CFLs. I was going to switch a quantum board over to this one but, it seems to be doing ok...and I also wanted to give each Fantasmo their own light to see how well they could finish under an HLG65.
I wish I had 1 more board or a QB96 Elite V2 over this plant so it could finish closer to its full potential. Hopefully this light setup will continue to surprise me!

Nothing exciting to report on the White Chem. It had kind of a slow start....or maybe I'm just comparing them to these Fantasmos that took off like a [emoji573] and never looked back! Lol. One of my White Chem seeds did not germinate. I soaked in water for 24 hours and then into a Root Riot and into Royal Gold Tupur(giving Coco a shot! Lol). After a week, I did some digging and the seed was still perfectly intact. I soaked it again and into a Root Riot. 5 days later and nothing. It was a freebie so I'm not worried...just posting my experience.

Also, I just planted my last 2 Hubbabubbasmelloscope seeds in Root Riots after soaking 24 hours in water. They are going to be in Fox Farms Happy Frog + 20-30% perlite. Hopefully I can get these HBSS to grow bigger/taller than the last 4 I tried. They were all started different and planted directly into soil tho and I think maybe I over watered. These Root Riots really help with that.

These Fantasmos are looking mighty happy with their fan leaves pointing straight up!

Also, had 1 of my last 2 Hubbabubbasmelloscopes pop up overnight....she looks a little yellow....hopefully the leaves will green on up.

Hey bud, just had a read through your grow and thought I'd chuck in my 2c.

Those hlg65 lights are great for veg, but to flower properly you need to keep them about 12" away and even then only one plant per light is going to get a reasonable result.

I use one in a 1x1 ft tent with a single auto and it does well because it's such a small area with the light being reflected very close on the sides.

The light is does around 490 ppfd in the centre at 12", whereas you need around 6-800 for decent flowering. But, being an auto you can take advantage of longer light cycles so 18-20 hours at 12" dead centre should give you good results. I just noticed you have a lot of stretch, whereas I don't really get much when keeping the light close.

I definitely plan on getting more/more powerful lights. Just curious...where do you notice stretching?

On your day 31 pic especially, there looks like there's 3 or more inches between the nodes. You also mentioned how fast it was growing in height, that's because she was looking for light. The upwards facing leaves are also a sign she's trying to get more light.

I once put an auto in a 12/12 with my photos, and it looked very similar to yours. Very tall, with lots of space between the nodes.

I see. What is a good node spacing? Ive kept these lights at 12 inches since flower. They were at about 18-22 inches in veg because I wanted to try to grow some "normal" sized autos. Lol. All ive been able to grow is little stunted ones...but that has all been my fault in one way or another...I think....lol. Also, these Fantasmos are known to be leggy...I looked thru a bunch of pictures of them on IG and a lot of them look similar to mine.
