K.I.S.S. Keep It Super Simple... a low maintenance grow, with tomato plant food.

STRAIN: Hubbabubbasmelloscope
SOIL: Peat moss + 10% vermiculite + 10% Perlite
CONTAINER: 15 liter Superoots Air Pot (holds 13.6 liters of soil)
LIGHTS: Grownorthern HS1 LED, 24/7 from seedling to chop
NUTES: Texas Tomato Food, at 500 PPM from seedling to chop, $14.95 per quart on Amazon.
One quart is enough to make 128 gallons at 500 PPM, seems cheap to me, if it works!

NO grow light cycles, no mixing bottles of A & B, no Ph adjustments, no calmag, no force feeding, and no flushing.....

Just good seeds, soil, water, and light. Lets see what happens.

I drenched the soil with water fertized to 500 PPM and let the container drain at a 30 degree angle so there is little or no perched water. The moist soil should keep the seedling happy for the first two weeks, so zero maintenence!

Planted the seed directly in the soil, no soaking, no paper towels, no plastic bag, no warm spot.
Just pushed the seed down .5 inch and covered it up with soil and didn't even water it since the soil was already very moist.

PRESTO! 3 days later it germinated (actually 66 hours later, gotta love Mephisto seeds)

Fertilizing at 500 ppm seems pretty weak, but the idea is the more she drinks, the more food she gets, the more she grows, the more she drinks..... Kinda self regulating. I'll keep humidity around 40% and give her a steady breeze so she should be thirsty.

It might be a disaster! Lets find out.

I use tomato fertilizer because this is a total stealth grow, buying cannabis nutes is too risky. The simplicity is a nice bonus.

Day 3 Nice shape to the leaves. I was a little worried the soil might be too moist, but she is growing well. She sure is tall!

Moved to her permanent home, a shiny new wardrobe in a room with Air Conditioning so I can control the Temp and Humidity. I chose the size of the wardrobe to match the 1.2 meter x .6 meter coverage of the Grownorthern HS1 LED with the 60 x 90 diffuser. I hope the extra light reflected off the walls will prevent any more stretching!

looking good for K.I.S.S,, happy growing and thanks for the K.I.S.S grow i'm following along,
Mephisto Genetics are awesome, i cant wait to grow me some

Thank you, did you choose some beans to order? That was the hardest part for me, so many choices.

The growing part is easy, they almost grow themselves . By 2016 I expect Mephisto plants to have some Dog genetics so they can go for a drink of water when thirsty.

Hi hubba. I think it's cool that you're sticking to such a simple plan. I'd not have the balls, considering I have limited chances to grow. I sprouted a fantasmo express outdoor last month but a bug sucked it dry. I got three freebies from seedsman so two left and it's only July. Hmmm. I would be over my legal limit if I sprout another one but I am tempted. I'll check out your grow bro, best of luck

Thanks for the support.
I am a bit worried because cannabis is a fast growing plant, and Mephisto seeds can be very fast so I expect them to be heavy feeders. I do wonder if 500 PPM is enough, but there are already lots of great grow journals here with specialized nutes, lets try something different. If my lights, temp, humidity, airflow and soil mositure are good... the big variable is: Nutes.

My Hubbabubbasmelloscope seedling just fell over. :crying:

I like top heavy girls, but they gotta be able to stand up!

The stem is just curved, not bent so it is easy to fix. I helped her stand up strait and added an extra inch of soil around the base of the stem. She should be fine

Top heavy and long legs.... go baby go!

Hi HubbaBubba

Nice journal , im loving the kiss method you are using. It should be interesting to see your results.
Your seedling should be fine just get the inside tube part of a toilet role and cut it to size.
Use it as a support for the plant so place it right under her and it should prop her up nicely till she can hold herself again.
