Week: 10 - Day: 70

This update was meant to be done a few days ago. As I have been very busy of late im only finding the time to do it right now.

The same nutrient solution was kept in the bucket as last week so that means no changes were made to the feed, except that PK13/14 was added as flowering booster.
Now that the plant is maturing she is drinking about 19-20L on average of nutrient solution a week with her thirst increasing ever so slightly every day.

Again this week Think Big received some more leaf tucking and defoliating to encourage better light penetration through the plant canopy.
To help get better light efficiency both 60x60 Hs1 units have now been lowered to 28cm while the 80x80 units have been reduced to 25cm above the plant canopy.

Same as last week the auto-flowers bleached fan leaves are still visible along with a few other fan leaves which appear to be dying off due to lack of light.
Think Bigs root system still appears healthy and smells perfect so all in all this auto-fem appears to be happy and healthy.

No more excessive growth has been noted from this point on as the plant now ages its time for her to put all that energy into increasing the mass and weight of buds.
Surprisingly some slight growth was observed a day or two after defoliating in which any flowers in shade rose more towards the LED.
Think Big now stands at a height of 36cm, Length of 92cm and finally a width of 115cm.

After the defoliation took place that plant seemed to be encouraged by forming more flowers on lower parts which were previously shaded by other growth.
Since the Think Big is so far along in the flowering phase it looks like this plants harvest may have to be staggered due to new pistils forming in some places while other parts are maturing.

The buds in the center of the canopy which are receiving the most light are 50/50 White/Amber flowering pistils while the buds along the edge remain 75/25 White/Amber .
These buds are now starting to become quite dense even though they have still another few weeks of maturing to do.

That's a whole lotta plant Grim, what's up next for the bucket?
Thanks Scally. Im going to use an Alien Scrog net with a Mephisto SODK me thinks. Try to get the training more evenly divided by using the grid of the scrog.
Im looking forward to growing Mephisto as its been too long. Mad to get more Dinafem on the grow too but i just dont have the space now that i have started my organic journal.

Nice,I haven't tried any mephisto yet but their Skywalker has my attention.
That another one i like the look of too, dont DP do a photo-period called Skywalker?? I wonder if its .he same genetics.
Id really like to see you grow out HBSS and see how you would compare it to Dinafems bubba kush.

Nice grow grim, shes a monster at 115 wide, some nice buddage for you their my friend
Thank you Pablo.
Photo skills on flick mate! so is you training regimen, that's a lotta plant !
Cheers Sourb, i upgraded the camera a few weeks ago just getting better at using it now.
She's a beast! Looks a lot like the auto ultimate i grew.

Hi Pop22

Thanks for your comment. I have actually seen that journal and i have to say i think you are right she does look like your A.U..
I think the reason they look similar is because of how the stretch was kept to a very minimum while training all the side growth.
I think when i do another scrog style grow id let the bud sites stretch out a little more so that the plants flowers aren't clustered on top of each other.

The AU was my third scrog and I learned some lessons from this......... BIG plants rquire more aggressive training. And early on at that! I should have done some defoliation when I first bent her over, I think she would have actually done better if I had. there where many buds that could have gotten more light. I'm not a big fan of defoliation but every truly great SCROG grow I've seen has used defoliation successfully.

I get what you mean. I have been defoliating for the first time and i have already seen the growth adn benefits that it promotes. Im not sure about doing it early with Autos though as id just be worried that it might slow them down. Its something i might give a shot next round though.
