Lighting (HS1) Auto Euphoria 55 Litre DWC

Week: 1 - Day: 1

Less than 72 hours and the seedling has finally emerged from the root it cube.
The seedling will be kept in the root it cubes for about a week or until root devolpment is substantial.
When ready the seedling in the root it cubes will be transplanted into bigger rock-wool cubes.

I have noticed that the root it cubes tend to dry out a little faster than i expected.
To combat this i will drop the cube gently into a temperate solution of PH'd water.



Nutrient Solution:

• PH: 5.8
• EC: 0.3 ( Back-round EC)
• Temp: 18-22 C

Environment:

• Lights On: 26-27 C
• Lights O: 20-22 C
• RH%: 50-60%

I know a lot of people use um, but i feel like they complicate things and im never sure if they too wet or too dry (usually the latter)

I thought i liked the root it cubes as they worked wonders for me last time. This time around they are drying up so fast that i have to dip them in water every day until moist. This is making me wonder if im slowing root growth or not by over water logging the cubes. I guess time will tell.

I have just germed 4 Think Different in root it cubes, 3 made beyond day 2, the last one couldn't get its head out of the foam, and before I wised up to what was happening, it snapped it's own stem trying to pull the head up. Rather comical looking, the top upside down and the feet looking for instructions what to do.......oh well.

No problems with even moisture in the cubes though. Germed some chili too, and they have taken off like little hot rods.....well, they are, I suppose.

Next batch will go into coco cubes me thinks.....!
