Hi all!

My plant is in 4,5 weeks into flower, i was having some issues some time ago regarding overfeeding, that from some exploration, found out to be a ph lockout issue (ph too acidic)

I am growing in a soilless medium (carolina soil = spagnhum + vermiculite) that has a natural ph of 5.5.
I am using liquid fertilizers and have been slowly increasing the amount since veg.

Although i thought i fixed the issue with the ph lockout, i see that the leaf burn came back again, and this time im really scared to lose the plant.
Yesterday i water the plant with much less nutrients, and, so far it seems ok, but im really scared to have more burn problems.

From my studies (as this is my first ever grow) i know i should make a flush with ph balanced water (is ph balanced 7?), with no nutrients and wait to bring the nutrients again in the next watering.
The problem is that, i dont know how this would affect my plant flowering...

Is there any problem doing something like: Flush with ph balanced water, wait 10 mins, and water with nutrients again? Or i really should do as above?

More info:
- seed: Critical Auto
- fan and exaust 24 hours on
- controlling watering ph to 6.3

Thx in advance ppl!

Your problem lies in not adjusting your ph after you add the nutes to the water.
If your ph is off by 1 full point , flush with distilled water from a grocery store .
Prepare water/nutes and set your ph to 6.0 not 6.3.
Maintain ph at 6.0 by measuring the ph of your run off.
Your plant will be fine.

Great to hear that GeorgeCloney!
Thx for the response.

I am adjusting the PH after i add the nutes to the water, so the combination of nutes + water are settled in the 6.3 ph using ph down

What should be my plan to the next watering?
When you mean ph off by 1 point is between my water and the runoff?
Can i use tap water? The one i have here is nicely balanced with ph 7 and low salts.

I was planning to make only a flush with tap in the next watering, but i am really worried of not providing nutes in the flowering when she needs it the most.

Thx!

Get a bucket.
Fill with tap water.
Let sit for 24-48 hrs.
This evaporates the chlorine.
Flush pot completely until the run out ( run off) water coming out of the pot is the same ph as going in.
City tap water is usually 7.0
Nothing wrong with using tap water for feeding.
Just let the water stand for a day.
Or add a 500mg vitamin C pill to your city tap water.
This too shall neutralize the chlorine.
Then.
Feed with your nutes.
6.3 is higher than I'm accustomed to ph'ing.
But that means nothing.
Listen to your plants.
If 6.3 is giving you a good grow.
The plant is happy.
Thats all that counts.

GeorgeCloney i cant thank you enough, really thank you!
I will do exactly as you said, will come back with the results.

Just to be sure, when you mean [then use nutes], is in the next watering right? Not a few minutes just after the flush.

jah bless

Flush, then feed once you've finished flushing.

Tomorrow is the flush day, im kinda anxious =D
I noticed that the PH of the sitting tap water went from 7.2 to 7.8 in two days, is it normal?

Ty!

I did the flush as said and it seems it worked well!
The plant isn't showing any signsof burn increase.

Thx a lot

Good job...monitor ph in the future and the plant will be fine
