The only way i would make BHO if i did not have a vac would be this:
This is your list. of every thing.
STAGE 1 PREPERATION
These steps can be done indoors
Step 1-Dry my starting material and put butane in Freezer. (You want a very dry Material)
Step 2-Once Material is nicely dry you want to break your material up as if you were to pack a bowl or roll something.
Step 3-Pack your choice of Tube Glass (5mm thickness Minimum) or Stainless Steel. (NO PVC or Turkey Basters) You dont want it loose nor rock hard tight. It should be a nice firm pack but you are still able to blow air through the enclosed end of the tube where your Butane will be injected into.
Step 4-Secure the end of your tube using a pipe clamp or zip ties and your choice of unbleached coffee filters or a S.S micron screen or both.
Step 5-Prepare your Glass pyrex make sure there are no containment in the dish and that it is dry. You can also line your pyrex with PTFE its like Parchment but is safe to blast on and no scraping or agitation so less likely to budder on ya as well. Parchment is not safe to blast on as the polar solvent will degrade the parchment paper in microscopic amounts and it will be in your finished product. (see below if you do have to scrape)
STAGE 2:THE PROCESSING
These steps will ONLY be performed outdoors with proper safety equipment on Stand By!!!
Step 1-Move your Butane/Tube/Pyrex outside in a safe location.
Step 2- Using protection for your hand from the tube (oven mit or something) hold the tube over your pyrex dish.
Step 3-After shaking your Butane of choice do 5-8 second Blasts with 3-5 seconds in between each blast to allow the butane to soak in the material and strip it of the Trichcome heads. Continue these intervals until the butane is just about to come out the end of your tube. (Remember 1 can of butane to 1 oz of product or until the liquid from your tube is running Clear) Once the Butane is about to exit the tube i like to do a full on Blast with no stopping. i will continue to run butane through my material until it runs clear.
Step 4-Once you have completed your Blasting or running of your material you want to do a hot water bath. so find a pan or pyrex dish that is larger then the one you used to collect your BHO. You want to have your larger pyrex dish filled about 1/4 to 1/2 full of hot water from your sink i don't recommend using boiling water or anything crazy like that just let the sink run for a min or two and it will be plenty warm. Now you may have to replace the water a time or two depending on the size of your run or temps outside. You want to do this until ALMOST ALL REACTION STOPS.
Step 5-Once all the liquid butane has evaporated and your left with the BHO and you didn't use PTFE its now time to pour or scrape. I like to Pour and Scrape. Once i know my BHO is safe to bring to my shed or Garage (NOT INDOORS AT THIS POINT) i will have my Parchment paper pre staged where i will then pour my BHO into the center of the Parch paper and scrape the remainder. This is where i transfer to my Vac where itl purge for 72-96 hours at around 102-108.
If you are no Vacing your Meds and heat purging you can either Pour and scrape to heat on parch paper or heat in your pyrex with out scraping either way is fine.
STAGE 3 THE PURGING
Step 1- Take your Bho thats on your Parch Paper or in your Pyrex dish and to a outside location still where you have a electric griddle on stand by 90-118 try not to go higher then that unless you want a honeycomb budder consistency.
(i would recommend getting an Infrared thermometer so you can tell your exact temp of oil as griddles fluctuate approx 10 degrees.)
Also look into getting Cermanic floor tiles from your hard ware store grab 3 or 4 they are great heat buffers.
I would set 4 tiles 2 next to each other and the other two on top of those so you have a nice even surface.
Place you Parch paper or pyrex on these tiles and heat on the stated temps above for a min of 12 hours before you bring indoors or you can continue to work outside in a shed or garage. Once you relocate get your griddle set back up with your tiles and place your bho back on the tiles at the desired temps for another 72-96 hours Minimum at constant heat do not turn the griddle off. No hosehold ovens at any pont or stoves! Use an electric heat source griddle type
TAKE NOTE: I did not say to Whip or pop bubbles at any point the keys to getting a good purge is to Heat low and slow and Set it and forget it for 96 hours. Let it purge guys dont be in a rush youl enjoy it much more once its done correctly.
With the IR Thermometer your checking temps of BHO you want that around 100-110. With the tiles youl prob set your griddle to 150 F.
Also it dosent matter if its a gram or a oz always purge a min 72 hours then give a sizzle test drop a dab on a hot nail and listen to the sound. or a lighter test take a small dab on the end of your dabber and hold a lighter to it if it flames theres butane in it purge longer.
If your doing a BIG ASS run and have alot of BHO Purge Longer the 96 HOURS
Once youve completed the process safely its time to enjoy your meds guys
