I got a tip that soaking a seed in a weak solution of liquid kelp fo 12 min 24 max would improve germination. It sure does! But one time only from me. I don't like soaking. This time I soaked the soil with 1/16 teaspoon per gallon of NKP Kelp and put the seed in the soupy mess I made on the top of the soil and the seed spouted in less than 48 hours. That's the way I always do it, too many lost soaked seeds. Just dry from the fridge sitting on a tablespoon where I can keep my eye on it and once I get my sight adjusted under my led I gently place it on the soil and down she goes knuckle deep. Many are fooled thinking soaking quickens germ but they don't count the time the seed was soaking. Worse idea I ever had was soaking in a 1 litre water bottle and then turning the bottle upside down on a paper towel on top of the soil. I poured it out and never did find that seed, But it sprouted way over on the other side of the pot. How it got there I don't know.
