Indoor Hope's perpetual Skyline grow

Thanks mate. So the water/feed goes in the small one up to the to the level of the high one and then drains into a Resovior to be used again on the next feed.
I'm really interested in this set up. Would love to try this. I'm worried about using a res full of nutrients and recirculating.
Do you have to clean every few weeks. And top up when needed just. Sorry for the questions mate always looking for a better way lol

Ask away my friend.. bearing in mind I'm no expert.. here we go..

Yes.. water in the wee fitting and out the big one when it floods to a height.. flood height is adjustable.. the fittings are in sections.. im at max height off one set of fittings, £10, but 2 sets would let u flood higher if required.

And yes.. the nute mix then drains right back into the res underneath, £10 B & M storage box lol, and we go again.. recirculating. Pump in the res on a timer sets length and frequency of floods per day.

My res only holds about 35L so I only changed it out completely once.. to switch to flower nutes, cuz by that stage they were drinking a few litres a day so it needed a top up of fresh nute mix every few days.. now these skoosh are in full flower I'm topping up about 10L of nute mix every 2/3 days.. so.. the res is effectively changing itself over a period of 8/9 days.. and it's working.. res size is very important I think depending on your set up and how long u want to leave shit unattended lol

Phew.. and breathe in.. hope that covered it mucker.. hit me back if ya need anything else :pighug:

All I can say is the new gear is Defo on steroids

We could have 4 chunky little mudafudas on our hands here m8.. they're very impressive up close and personal.. kudos to the breeder :wizzy: McLungs has just told me to block the internal vent in the grobog.. its a 'heat recovery system'.. just blows cold air all over the house far as I can see.. but anyway.. the grobog seems to blow into the landing through that system.. so I now have the sweet smell of skoosh as soon as I open the bedroom door in the morning hahahaha.. I ain't covering shit lady :naughtystep:

Might have to look at some sort of filter though :crying::crying:

Thanks mate it sounds like the way forward, but the thought of recirculating nutes scares me lol
Been looking at the Wilma fabric pot systems
And even dwc oxypots look good too
I wish I had all the space to try everything lol
I acquired a big oil tank today, and my heads all over-the-place thinking on ideas off growing inside it, but can't think how to make it work, got to clean it and see what can be done, lol

Might do a dtw set up next ime if I can find a good res

ANs practically all I've ever known!
if it ain't broken why look elsewhere? Your garden is always lovely and pretty full, there is so much out there and I am certain there is a fair amount that is teh same generic stuff with different labels its a bloody minefield

Your ladies look superb at day 47

Went for a bag of soil today.. Canna Terra was the best they could offer.. never used it so we'll find out soon enough what it's like.. the cherry cheesecake will be the first plant into it.

Yeah, same for me. I can't get my brain around what is effectively adding run off to a fresh nute mix and feeding it back in again.
Is there a way of draining off to waste and keeping the nutes fresh? By about the 3rd flood and drain, the reservoir wont have the same levels of N, P, K etc that you originally mixed up, and don't even go to what that might do to the res pH? Oh my head!!!

I'm guessing that as they take up water from the feed, the volume of the res goes down each time you flood and drain, so by the 3rd flood, there's not much left.... you top up with fresh nutes, and it all balances out....
I mean, fuck, it obviously works, you're living proof of it.... your plants look amazing!

I'm dying to try this.... always wanted to automate my watering, and you make trying new ways look so easy!
