Indoor Hope's perpetual Skyline grow

Just ordered a little pump and all the bits and pieces for a drip irrigation set up for the Hugo blocks.. well 1 block at least.. May do both.. using the double basin set up kindly shared above by @420autoflower

I'll be making DIY drip rings to start.. for one reason only.. because postage on floraflex caps and another brand of drip rings mentioned by @Zaaboot to where I am is twice as much as the products themselves lol and the floraflex stuff itself in the UK is an outrageous price for what it is really.. I'll revisit the expensive kit when I determine if I can make it work first with my DIY set up

£25 has got me all the bits I need to set up 2 plants bar the basins.. which I'll pick up for a quid or 2 somewhere.

Can't wait for this.. want those hydro yields bad:naughtystep: :crying:
A friend of mine just spent the time putting tiny holes in 1 of his hoses and used a t piece to connect it to the actual feed hose. Tedious I know but it works plus u can change the hole size (start small lol)

Next question.. @Zaaboot tou mentioned the wee PCJ yokes.. I ordered a 2 L/H one.. I assume that the clues in the name and that the purpose of this little gizmo is to regulate the flow through my system to 2L per hour while the pumps on??.. well in theory anyway?? And to go a step further on that.. if it regulates to 2L per hour that means it delivers 33.33ml per minute when its pumping.. on the basis of 2000ml per hour divided by 60 minutes?? Or have I misunderstood or massively over simplified that?

Exactly what I'll be doing chum  quick and simple but effective as far as I can see.

Thats on the Money Hope!

Thanks again brother.. your help is invaluable on this journey :pighug: one thng that occured to me while I was looking at the bits and pieces online is the size difference US and UK.. your 1/4 and 1/2 inch where i'm 4mm and 13mm.. someone correct me if im wrong but given that we need tight fittings where water is in use.. US and UK sizes aint compatible? So the Floraflex range.. which i badly wanted to try will have to be geared to inch fittings which as far as I can see cost a fortune in the UK? Anyway.. Im thinking a drip ring now.. but if i've got this wrong please say so.. Im gonna put at least 1 and maybe both my Hugo blocks on automated feeding definitely.. and soon.
Hey bro… your local hardware or garden supply store should carry all the irrigation hoses and fittings that you’ll need. Might be easier to go into a store to dry fit the parts and see if it’ll all work. Wish they would make everything metric to make things less confusing.
I’ve got a lot of extra parts including the Floraflex caps that I’m not going to do anything with in the future and would be happy to send everything to you if you’re still having a problem finding the pieces that will work.

You can pull the sleeve up on your Grodan blocks and use these dripped stakes if you want to avoid using the Floraflex caps. Having the sleeve pulled up will create a little wall to keep all the water inside the cube.

@Zaaboot what stage of the plants life would you start the drippers at men? They're about a week old now.. 420 my friend I know u usually have the F and D table running at about day 14 for your girls yea??

Do I get the dripper set up going on the blocks asap here boys?? Gotta wait for delivery of the components first of course. Just reminds me that I need a timer!
Anywhere from day 12-14 would be good to start automated watering. The Black Strap I’m growing would be bigger plants if I got them on the tray sooner but was waiting for the GG-4s to finish up. Didn’t get them on the tray until day 21. :sadcry:

A couple of weeks is about normal for me - you want to be comfortable with your roots before you go auto. Also, I always find very short bursts over the day for a week or so before letting rip with increased frequency works well - the plant will tell you pretty quickly if it is too much or too little and you can adjust accordingly

The grodan lecters.. day 60.. flowering nicely but really nowhere near the potential these croutons have.. likely not enough light early on.. they'll still yield some tasty smoke in the end and as a first ever rockwool effort I have to be happy to have even got them this far..

Realised just tonight that the 4 inch blocks I have are 4 x 2.5 inch.. not even the 4 x 3 I thought and definitely not the 4x4 I wanted! I'm off to flick back on this thread and see how long these lecters have been flowering so I can guesstimate when to hit them with some overdrive.

Edit.. 18th August buds started to appear.. so they've only been flowering for 3 weeks despite being 60 days old.. mmmm.. how will this end up lol they'd usually have about what 6/7 weeks flowering so by that rationale there could be another 3/4 weeks on them.. which usually would be a bit of a pain but this time actually makes me happy as they have plenty of time yet to surprise me on the yield/bud size front. Aiming for a day 85/90 finish.. purely due to a shit first week or 2 on the watering front and very little light until around week 5 or 6. My guess based on all of that is that they're running around 3 weekd behind. So.. big bud and bud candy til week 11.. overdrive for a week then plain water.. if you finish rockwool on plain water?? I'll refer to a friend when we get there :crying: :vibes:
