Nice mate - good to see you are getting your groove with the cubes - cube grows always look so clean. :pass:

Still loving the rockwool m8. Keen to see what sort of yields I can get compared to soil.. I'd like to feed them 3 times a day.. I don't think it would be an issue.. but the middle of the 3 feeds would have to be at like 4am or something stupid to suit an 'even/balanced' watering schedule so for now it'll have to be the 2 feeds every lights on period.. when I get to a flood and drain set up.. hopefully next grow.. I can increase to 3 feeds per lights on period.. so I'm bearing that in mind as well when it comes to yield as I assume that 3 feeds per day will yield more than 2.. I'll get there.

That makes sense, when you get your table having a pump with res will make your life so much easier and once your fertigations are dialled in magical things happen!

Going to digress a bit, just some food for thought - as mentioned I have not run cubes for a long long time, that said, I do remember that 'high frequency fertigation' made a big difference, using a timer with second intervals it was something like on for 20 seconds at a time and by flower that was about 20-->25 times a day (whereas now with coco it ends up being closer to 10-->12 times a day). A prime example of this would be on a well run NFT table where the water is on pretty much the whole time the lights are on but constantly passing the roots allowing them to take what they want when they want and not allowing them to just sit in water. The theory behind it is the plant will take what it needs, if they always have it available they can get lethargic and the liquid and air around the roots gets stale, by pushing small amounts through it constantly refreshes the feed and at the same time the air around the roots in the cube so plays a dual role which in turn make the ladies go nuts. It was such a long time ago I really can't remember the exact science behind it, but it was sound at the time.

Anyhow Hope, your conversion from soil to soilless is happening so fast it has left me emotional

Thanks m8.. always appreciate your input. I'd been wondering about multiple 'short' feeds per day as I'd read a bit about it when researching rockwool growing in general.. im starting to wonder from your thoughts just how many feeds they could take in one lights on period.. but we know of course that @420autoflower smashes it out of the park with 3 daily floods in a table (correct me if im wrong).. I've been looking at drip rings the last few days on the multiple short feeds front. I assume that the drip ring would be the choice for multiple feedong of cubes?? It wouldn't be hard to set up 1 plant on a dripper for a test I suppose :eyebrows:

For cubes you are probably better of with the floraflex lids and any tube line to it with a PCJ .5 L/H on the end. It really is horses for courses though mate, so many options out there - you will no doubt find your favorite and take it from there

Yes those wee lids look the job m8.. even for hand watering they're good for a nice even spread of liquid over the cube
