Live Stoner Chat Hi folks... I'm a complete noob!!

Greetings everyone,

Ok I'm new to all this so I hope I'm doing this right.

So I fell onto this site from deciding to start my own little horticultural project (sick of paying thru the nose for crap... much the same as everyone else on here I guess) which led to researching info online, one thing led to another, found Seymours journals & well here I am, so hello.

So I have managed to get myself a pretty sweet little set up... 1.2msq grow tent 4x Hydrogrow 84x2 pro LED's, couple of DWC buckets with large air stones & a 60L per min air pump, blue lab PH/EC combo meter & sh#t load of nutes & supplements etc.:dance2:

Now I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go because I've never grown anything in my life, never made up a nutrient solution etc etc, I have been reading journals & watching YouTube so I have a rough idea what to do but when I say rough I mean ROUGH!! So any advice guys would be grateful.

Oh I have a load of different beans from the attitude, photoperiod & a few autos... 3 x Think Different autos, 1 x afghan Kush lowryder auto & 1 x blue mammoth auto.
I'm going on Hol in sept so I think I'll do a auto grow first Coz they're faster obviously, I have much the same set up as Mr Buds but I can only dream of getting anywhere near his return... The guy is a master obviously!! But with a little practice hopefully I can achieve something like that in time.

Like I say folks any advice would be greatly appreciated....

Welcome to the forum mate :smokebuds: you have got some sweet equipment there,those LEDs are top notch..it seems like yr ready to roll,choose some beans and start your grow in the new growers section,you will have muddy & joe dirt plus plenty of other seasoned growers stopping by to help you out.if you got a camera pics always help get things sorted quicker if you encounter any probs :smokebuds: look forward to seeing your grows

I have never been on a grow forum or posted pics online before... Im a bit of a dinosaur with some tech but on the bleedin edge with some other tech, can I just upload them from my iPhone?
I will def need some help but I've a good feeling about this website everyone seems very friendly & helpful to each other which is cool.

My final light came this morning so I think I'll be putting a couple of beans into soak in a day or two (just waiting for some rhizotonic to show up) has anyone used superthrive as a root stim y'know just to soak/start some beans coz I think it will be with me before the rhizotonic... I'm chomping at the bit to get started. :head:

If your using the iPhone mate download the tapatalk forum app,search out autoflower net there.its easy to upload your pics on that.one thing to do is go to your settings once you have tapatalk and turn geotagging setting to off.I think it's default is set to off but it's worth checking

You've got there some nice project to start with. I've decided to start with soil instead of hydro (i'm thinking to play with hydro maybe on the end of year), but good luck with your grow mate!

Hey there welcome to the AFN Kush T Dog. You have some nice gear for a setup and some good beans too.

I would like to stress my personal opinion here. And again this is just my personal opinion and you can pick it up and put it right down or you can use it, your choice here.
Here's what I see>>> You have some great gear, beans and attitude. That's what we like here at the AFN, because we don't put up with d bags, haha. From what you say this is your very first time growing and you aren't that great with computers, which is fine, mate now worries there we are here to help.

Now considering this info that I have in this case I highly, highly, highly, recommend studying and reading as much as you can on here for two solid weeks at a minimum, before you even start germinating your beans. Get your rig completely setup and monitor the environment for several days with nothing in there, to make sure your air, temps and humidity are good to go first. Now yes your temps and humidity will change some when plants are in there but still. Read everything you can and go through other members' grow journals. Look for members that are growing what you plan on growing and read their entire thread. Ask, questions, dumb nube questions included please, I don't mind. Just please, do your research, read up, perform tests, learn everything you can off of this site before you even get started with the actual grow. I promise you will thank me and yourself for doing this later on down the line, trust me.

I know how impatient one can get though man, believe me. I don't like waiting either I am always just ready to jump in and get going so that I can enjoy the benefits, but this bites so many new growers in the arse when you do this, one of those that got bit in the arse was me I learned a lot of the things the hard way so I push others to not do what I did.
