Hi Nrk .told it's all cool here & welcome to the AFN party !

Depending on what size diameter fan & ducting you got ,you would need to exit that ducting pipe .Usually by cutting a hole in the room for it somewhere ...maybe use the rooms vents if there are some ,or connect the duct to an existing extraction fan ducting ?. Either way it does involve a bit of DIY as your not using a tent.I guess the window fans you got need some DIY to fit as well though so something to think about .For the time being you could open the window & just sit the ducting on the sill maybe ?

You will need to add the other t5's later as I doubt you will just be kickin' rocks this grow lol ,so it's good to get the temps & airflow dialed in now.

Now you have the intro done you can start a grow journal thread in the "new growers section" or somewhere ...I'll subscribe to that & happy to help you get growing if I can

Hey gmgeoff this is NRKGrw,

I'm 16 days in and I'm having trouble with high res temps. I'm using frozen water bottles, it's ok, bit of a pain. I've already had to redo and rethink and REBUY equipment so not in the marker for a chiller, maybe next grow. I'm doin what i can this first time.

My res temp stays around 76ish. The ice bottles brings it down a bit, but not for long. I'm using GH products as well and I just did my 1st res change(ph 5.6/ ppm 280) I feel I should have put something in for the roots. My roots are tiny and have no visible problems, but I'm really worried about it getting too hot and want to prevent anything from happening.

I have on hand Florashield, H202 and Clearex. I wanna put in whatever I can. I'm not ready to make any tea yet and not up to buying a million supplements at this point.I'm already confused enough. What do you think?

Can I add stuff straight into the res or wait till next change or do a change now?
If straight in, would I ph up/down after and ppm?
If I need a complete change when would I add, after calmag before the trio etc?
When do you use the Koolbloom(i have the liquid right now) and Floralicious?
Have you used anything MycoMadness?

Hey nrk ,you posted fine ! ,but this is the intro section & you have done that now so a new thread for your grow is the way to go ,as this one will get lost in the many new intro's soon

You don't have to start one ,but if you did the hydro section or new growers sections are a good place .I recommend the new growers as a lot more mods patrol there

We can work with any root problems if & when they occur with those products you already have ,so don't worry ...florashield sounds good :Cool bud: Anything like that usually goes in after nutes & finally PH ... I do add the PH UP&Down straight into the res but you can pull a cup of nutes out ...add it to that & replace .

If you did notice a problem or wanted to add some florashield anyway it can go straight into the bucket ,but test PH after & readjust if needed Never go over the bottle directions :Sharing One:

Good grief, straight in at the deep end. Good for you. You can do research. You can ask tons of questions. You can do a plan, heck even a spreadsheet. But there is no substitute for getting on with it and doing a grow. You will learn tons, you will make mistakes and almost certainly end up with a decent harvest. We got your back.

Don't forget to enjoy it. This is a fun and rewarding hobby. Enjoy and welcome, eP.

Sorry i never acknowledged your response, im new at social media and perhaps with the website change. ..who knows! But hey, i appreciate you looking in.
And yes, I've jumped in the deep end! A bit rocky at first, but I'm making it. I say no matter how much research you do, until you're ass deep in it, you really have no idea what you're in for.
I do have a chart i made for recording temp ppm and ph.and one for res change.
I was wondering when is be able to start enjoying this. It was worry and sleepless nights just until this past week i think.
If it weren't for dwcocha, I'd have lost my mind, he's a real lifesaver!

About my setup, thanks. I've reconfigured countless times. No amount of preparation beats falling in and going for it.
