Alright, let’s get this started by me stating that this is my FIRST kick at the can for growing my own. Long time toker, first time grower, but with the help of this amazing network of people I’m hoping to be able to get it done. I’ve done a vast amount of reading and that can be just as troublesome as it can be helpful at points. There’s so much information available, and so many conflicting statements, but I think I’ve got the basics ironed out. That’s being said, let’s get into this thing and get up to date.

-I’ll be growing in my attached/heated garage in a cabinet I whipped up out of 2x2 and 3/8 osb. Heres a link to the breakdown of it in the DIY section of this forum.

This should be fun!

- Dropped all three seeds into cups of distilled room temperature water.

11/25/18
- Transferred all 3 seeds into their paper towel homes.

11/26/18 (Happy Bday to me!)
- Filled 3-16oz with the coco/perlite. I had already rinsed all of it multiple times with distilled water, so once I got it into the cup I simply mixed up a 1/2gal of RO water with 1ml CaliMagic mixed in, ph’d it down to 5.8 and poured it through all 3 cups.
- Checked in on the seeds, White Widow(WW) had a taproot of about 1/4” after 24hrs, Early Miss(EM) had just split open, and the CBD looked the same as when I put it there.

11/27/18
- WW taproot is about 1/2”, so I transferred it into its next temporary home, the 16oz solo cup. Placed the seed about 1/4” down into the coco mix and stuck it under the 20w led twisters. Temps are around 75° and humidity was around 35-40%, so I stuck a empty water bottle, cut in half, over top of the seed.

- EM is about 1/4”, she will be ready for the solo cup in the morning, and CBD has finally just split her shell open.

11/28/18
- Popped EM into her solo cup of coco first this this morning, looks like tomorrow the CBD will be good to go.
- Picked up a small Vick’s humidifier for the cabinet, no issue with getting the RH% up to 80% now.

11/29/18
- So this morning I see that WW has finally sprouted above the coco! Exciting times [emoji1787]
faeccf436fe084ac65ff74af72ca0774.jpg

- CBD finally caught up to everyone and got popped into its solo cup of coco. Temps are steady at 76° and a RH of 80%.
- Mixed up first batch of nutrients. This had to be the hardest part of the entire thing to wrap my head around. So many saying do this, while others say this, and so on... Used 1gal of RO water and mixed in 1ml of CalMag, 1ml Micro, 1ml Grow, 0.5ml Bloom. I then messed up with the PH and had to dilute it abit, so end total was 185ppm and 5.7ph.

11/30/18
- Misted all around the outer edges of the cups with the nute mix I made last night, got abit of runoff, it’s crazy how much drainage the coco/perlite allows.
- EM has now sprouted above the coco. Temps sitting at 77° and 72% RH.

12/1/18
- CBD is now above coco as well, lightly misted all the cups edges with the nute mix as well.

12/2/18
- Moved all the seedling into the larger side of the cabinet under the Vipar 900w, light height is currently 48” above the seedlings, will slowly lower down to 40-42” over the next week or so.
- Gave all 3 plants their first ‘true’ feeding, poured a small amount of the mix around the edges of the solo cups till runoff.
- Time for a learning lesson, WW has slight nute burn on her tips already, started feeding her too early I suppose.

12/3/18
- Mixed up new batch of nute’s just because I didn’t like the way the first batch came around lol. This mix went as follows, 1/2gal RO water + 55ppm CalMag + 0.5ml Micro + 0.25ml Grow + 2 drops of ArmorSi and ph’d to 5.8 for a total of 228ppm
- All plants showing slight signs of tip burn and my sloppy misting with the nute water ended up leaving small drops on the leaves resulting in small burns. Lowered light down to 44” as the plants seemed to be doing well under it.

12/4/18
- Fed all plants small amount till runoff, temps steadied out now in the larger side, got a constant 77H 66L(lights out) and 65% Rh. Was trying to snap some photos and gave the CBD some tough love with a cell phone to the face from 12”(dropped it into the cup). She’s tough though and never seemed to mind.

12/6/18
- Today’s the big day, figured I’m just gonna get these girls into their final homes sooner rather than later, so I filled 3 of the 5gal grow bags with the coco mix and flushed a gallon of RO water through each filled bag to precharge it. In the gallon of water I mixed in 2.5ml Micro, 2.5ml Grow, 0.6ml Bloom, and CaliMagic for a total of 480ppm 5.8 ph. All the plants are looking good and praying to the light, so let’s see if I can upset them haha.
- Made an imprint into the 5gal bag with an empty solo cup, then sprinkled in some Pro-Mix root stim in the impressions. Carefully removed the plants from their solo cups and got them all into their final homes. Wasn’t the smoothest, but I didn’t drop anything so there’s that!

12/7/18
- All 3 plants are still standing, so I didn’t screw em up too bad with the transplant yesterday, fed them all with the remainder of the initial 228ppm mix
- Mixed up week 2’s batch of nutes, this week I’m going with a mix of 1gal RO water + 1ml ArmorSi + 2ml CaliMagic + 2.5ml Micro + 2.5ml Grow + 2.5ml Bloom for a total of 453ppm without any ph buffering, will adjust ph tomorrow just before feeding. Temps are still 77° H and 62°L (Picking up a small heater for inside the cabinet, just so I don’t have to run my large garage heater to adjust for temperature. I’m up in Northern Canada so it’s getting cold outside!)
- Lights were put down to 42” to see how the plants react. Manufacturers recommended height for seedlings is 40-44”. Here is a quick pic of WW as of this morning.

And that brings everybody up to date with my current situation, I will post regular updates here and pick everybody’s brains till I can get a good handle on the whole process! Cheers and Easy smoking! [emoji869]

Good times! Looking like all sorts of fun! Best of luck in your adventures

:pass::welcome: Im still learning stuff about the site myself very fun and nice people Good times

Evening everyone, lights came on at 6pm, so I gave the 3 their daily rotation and fed them all a half solo of feed, not on, but around the transplant site to encourage root growth. Today will be day 9 for WW, 8 for EM, and 7 for CBD. All the new growth is looking nice and healthy, and I’ve learnt to not be clumsy when feeding them lol, as to avoid anymore nute splash/burn.

- I was also able to improve my lights off temperatures by attaching the humidifier to the same timer my light was on, so now they both go out at 2pm and are back on at 6pm. The low temp only got down to 69°, as opposed to 62° with the humidifier left running. Humidity only dropped down to 41% during the 4hr period. Getting everything finally dialed in with little tweaks here and there. The box is now a steady 76-77° with lights on and the RH is around 70-75% at its high, and when im not messing around with the cabinet, letting all that good humid warm air out [emoji23]

- Lowered the light down to 40”, as they haven’t had any problems with it being at 42”. I’ll leave at this height until I start getting some good growth on the three. That’s about all the excitement for tonight, cheers and easy smoking [emoji869]

Looking great! And the grow box turned out fantastic, nicely built. I'll be tagging along for sure

I have to admit I had a bit of a chuckle at the "Fast Flowering" on the Early Miss package. I've seen a few great EM grows online so I'm sure you'll have better luck than I have so far
