i'm doing what i can, brother. i went away for a few days for my berfday and the soil dried out very well. the problem hasn't been squashed but i'm giving it my best. i've got some spotting on a couple leaves. i'll keep a close watch. obviously, haha.

happee belated b-day m'lady! :bday: ppp

DAY 35! weekly update:

these girls are coming into their own, man! they've all got white threads, even the Girl Scout Cookies (normal for a photo?) with Sharkbite being my blue ribbon baby already establishing beautiful colas.

Short and Sweet is a little more temperamental than the others. she seemed sad all bound up, so i let her free except for the main stalk and she perked up instantly. other than that, LST is coming out great, as far as i can tell. the main stalks are spiraling around the pot and all the side shoots are uniform in height. i didn't top this round. i'm saving that for round three, i think. it feels kinda advanced for me.

speaking of other rounds! i have round two up and running! i don't think i'll journal it. having two journals at once is a lot for me right now. having said that, i've got two new babies. full disclosure, i planted three seeds, but yet again, one of 'em didn't pop, so, i've got Berry Kush and what i'm calling Mystery [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], cuz i have no idea what it is. this time around i soaked the seeds for 48 hours. they all broke their casings open in the soak and i carefully buried those straight into pots filled with 2/3 top quality potting soil and 1/3 half soil and half autoflower soil amendment from Nature's Living Soil at the bottom of the pots. round two i'm thinking i'm gonna let them be. see what happens when i don't obsess. i'll still be obsessing over round one and there's always round three to obsess over. i'm curious to see what happens if i don't the stress the plants AT ALL. maybe i should keep a journal...

i think they seem cramped because i spent the first two weeks spiraling them. it keeps the plants very low. but i do train the main and side stalks away from each other. it'll be more noticeable in next weeks pics, as i've stopped forcing the plants to stay low and am now just making sure all the colas-to-be have their own space.

Keep em low bro..... slower but massive yield improvement!

ur doin jus fine m'lady, jus fine ;) ppp

Yeah honestly the best thing you can do is try to break that main stem dominance with training. Eventually unless growing outdoors you run into way different light strengths if you don't tame the beast. Main cola getting crazy light, while lower side branching gets little or very weak light when compared to top cola. Short stock bushes are what we all want in a perfect world. Don't be afraid to bend those babes straight sideways. Give it a day and they will be bending back reaching for the light. I would do more trainging but I have limited space in my 3X3 and now it's all about getting vertical as you can see.

And in this photo you can see that I have my stems horizontal to the ground, and even bent a little back down to the ground before they started flying back up. I have found that this is the easiest way to expose that lower growth to more direct light without toping or defoliating.
