Heyyy, been away a while but it’s great to see you’re off to a good start!! There’s only one problem.... you’re not going to be able to stop [emoji1787][emoji123] but seriously, great work, start of a good grow!!

by the way, i'm doing the opposite of stopping! i'm prepping new pots today for a second grow starting next week. i noticed with this first grow the dirt compacted after a few waterings. this time, i'll get the dirt in the pots and water it a few times over the next week so i can compensate for any compaction before the seedlings get planted. i'm having too much fun to stop!!

The babies are lookin good!
Rando question, does your son smoke, and does he know his mom is a dope growing badass?!?!?!?

my son smokes. he lives in california where it's legal, but before he left he wanted to know one big secret i'd never told him before. since he was eighteen and since i spent his teenage years telling him to stay away from cigarettes and smoke pot instead, i decided to tell him i've been smoking weed since I was a teenager. he was so shocked which is weird cuz i'm a wake 'n' baker, but whatever, then he told me he smokes too and that ended that convo. i do NOT smoke weed with my kid. i'm gen-X. i don't know if you're like me, but we're the first generation where pot was always around. our parents were hippies, at least mine were. there was pot EVERYWHERE, never even hidden away. when i started smoking, my mother treated me like i'd finally come home. it was so friggin weird. i ain't doing that with my kid. so we talk about it a little- he thinks it's funny as hell that i'm growing it- but we're not sitting around getting high together, no way.

but, he's always known what a badass i am :cool1:

Total gen x'er here as well!
Didnt grow up with it in the house but the parents were real prgressive lol.
My speech i got was short and simple, "if youre gonna do it, do it here where we know youre safe and you better get a job so you can buy your own".
It worked i guess, i didnt start smoking until i graduated highschool cause it wasnt so mysterious to me. Course once i started i never looked back!

okay the weekly update. i've been lax on my updates because my son came home! he's here for two weeks before he goes back across the country. i'm too busy cooking him anything he wants to take pics of the girls.

i started LST and the girls are adjusting beautifully. they don't drink much at all, i feed them every three days maybe, just a quarter gallon of ph'd rainwater each. i'm using pipe cleaners for LST. i bought coated wire, but, it seems unwieldy at this stage. the pipe cleaners are working very well. i found some popsicle stick people at my local craft store and decided to try and use them. i like that they look like they're strapping the plants down. i'm whimsical as shit.

great advice! i was just looking at pretty little pruners two days ago! imma hafta pick em up. i can definitely see how this could make a jungle, but yeah, i already picture myself years in the future as a true bonsai master. it's another great way to obsess over these plants, is what it is!

FOUR WEEKS!!

me and the girls got four weeks under our leaves and things are peachy, folks.

the ladies are starting to really give off their aroma which makes the spare guest room my now-favorite place to be.

i'm LST-ing the main stalks into spirals to keep the grows as small as possible while getting as much light as possible. they're taking to it great.

they've developed a case of fungus gnats. i just noticed them yesterday and i've got the yellow sticky boards coming tomorrow. i'm also letting the plants dry out completely in an attempt to starve the larvae. i don't want to do anything drastic yet. i know those fuckers live to reproduce but i think i'm catching it very early. my plants are so happy. i don't want to fuck with their chemicals if i really don't have to.

alright, that's all i got this week! i've got soil prepped in pots and three new seeds soaking in water for crop 2. we'll be planting Berry Ryder, King's Kush and a fun mystery seed sent to me through the single seed centre. that'll be a new thread in a few days.

cheers!!
