I really really like megacrop. I agree with most that megacrop is a really well rounded nutrient but it does have its setbacks just like any other thing. I think my biggest gripe is the high nitrogen. That will possibly become a problem in flower because the girls nitrogen requirements drop significantly, after the stretch stops that is. I am already getting some signs of nitrogen burn, that's the yellowing of the tips of your leaves, if you didn't know. Tell tale sign that you're bordering nitrogen toxicity and need to back it off. As for the overall use it's been so easy, but you need to get yourself a little scale of you don't have one because it's powdered and the measurements go by weight not volume. Highly recommend it though for a beginner, because it's just that easy and honestly my girls are looking like they will be about double the size of last round. Plus who can beat dirt cheap?some nutrients can run you hundreds of dollars for a full lineup. You can get a 300 gram sample of the megacrop on their website for free. You just pay shipping. Also to get a 750 gram bag of megacrop and a 750 gram bag of bud explosion, you're looking at like $30 and some shipping. That's enough megacrop for about 250-300 gallons of mixed feed. And enough bud explosion for like 600-700 gallons. You might not need to buy nutes for a year if you like them!

ugh. DAY 52. i missed the weekly check-in and i'll tell ya why.

i had some problems with the fucking Girl Scout Cookies. i hate that bitch. She started getting leaf septoria. and it took me too long to take charge, i guess. she started getting the brown spots and yellow leaves and because she was near my other girls they also got a few infected leaves. eventually, i isolated her. i figured, she's a photo and gonna be on a different schedule anyway but by that time, she'd lost so many leaves...

guys, as soon as i isolated her she contracted a SEVERE case of fungus gnats! AND she started showing nute burn and i haven't even GIVEN her any nutes! i decided i hate her. no joke, i'm a gal's gal but some chicks are just bitches and you gotta walk away. today, in an effort to save my other five plants, i destroyed GSC. she was covered in fungus gnats and nute burn and i didn't want her in my house anymore. i decided it was a good chance to experiment with quick dries. nooooo, she was not ready for drying. she had nothing but popcorn buds with about 5% of the white threads turning amber. i don't care. bitch is dead. i smoked that bitch, literally

i found a thread on 420magazine.com on quick dries and decided to try a couple. it could serve me well in the future if i'm ever desperate. i did the steam-microwave method and the paper-bag-cable-box method. the steam-microwave method is very very fast and when my husband i smoked it, although it got us high, seems like a desperate situation solution. i've got the rest of the popcorn in a paper bag on my cable box and i'll check it tomorrow to see where we're we're at.

anyway, i guess i'm down to fifty percent for this first grow. yowza, i've learned a ton. Sharkbite and Short and Sweet still look great. i zoomed in on them with my micro lens and can see the first formations of crystals. it's pretty cool. this week, i'm just gonna include close-up shots of their impending crystals.

round two has been topped! i pulled the plug and took the plunge. suuuuuper excited to see how THAT turns out.

Jolene is still extremely tiny. makes me think she was even younger than we thought when we got her. took her into my husband's work and had her weighed and she's a full two ounces larger than when they got her in, but still stumbling around on drunken back legs and waking us up every three hours to be bottle-fed. she's got to have been younger than we thought. i'll include another pic of her next time. right now, she's sleeping and that's just fine with me.

Sorry to hear about the girl scout cookies. Such a great strain too. Just think though next time you will have some experience with her and can tweak whatever went wrong! For fast drying method, I found the oven dry method the best to get it into smokeable form in less than 30 minutes! @Boradan hooked me up with this recipe... Preheat oven to 320°f, when preheated turn O oven and open the door for 30 seconds. After that 30 second cool down throw a baking sheet with your nugs on it in there for about 10-20 minutes depending on how big they are. They will be ready to throw into the grinder and smoked right away, even directly from the plant. Great to try your plant and see if it's ready to harvest

oh my. i feel like i've been gone forever!

i had to go away for work for the past week. the hubs has been watching the ladies and, i'm very happy to say, he did a great job! in fact, i think i'm pretty close to harvest, guys. tomorrow will be 63 days. i'll take pics tomorrow and ask your opinion.

for now, i just came on to say hi again to everyone! and also to get an opinion on something else.

i had some Ph problems before i left and i've gotten it under control, but i'm using litmus paper and i really just want a more accurate number! i need suggestions for digital water Ph meters. i can't swim through all the crap meters they're selling on amazon. i just want a name of something people find reliable.

Want a decent one spend the extra for a probe style. They will last forever and much better than the cheap $15 pen ones that are not very reliable. Something like this,

this is from bluelab who are pretty reputable and that is a good price for a decent pH, EC, and temp meter. Way more expensive that other cheap ones but worth the bit of extra money in my opinion. All up to you though!
