I understand OPs disappointment, but also agree with the above comment about negotiating the deal. They might actually prefer if you'd split it into 2 orders--less risk of loss for them if the order got nicked by customs, better for them to resend 350 in seeds rather than 700. If it were my business, I know I'd feel that way about it.

If you need auto seeds, I think both Autoflower Portal and Mephisto have much better auto freebies than Herbies.

I've only seen what you get free at or above a $100 purchase of seeds. Now your attitude of thinking that you should have gotten this or that because you plunked down $700 needs a little tweaking. Next time, think negotiation and ask first what freebies you can get with a $700 order. Whether it's for seeds or for a set of new tires....negotiation thoughts!

I totally disagree..... They advertise what they give out for free seed for what $ amount spent.....

Maybe the best course then is to call them and let them know you're disappointed with not receiving all the advertised freebies. They have a very good reputation, I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose.

that's a lotta seeds man; a lotta money spent too. I understand your feeling a bit less than ecstatic, but at least you got your order without any hassles.
I ordered a small amount from a Spanish based bank recently; they do paypal so I knew I had some comeback; got an order confirmation;
20 days later...nuthin; no reponse to emails,
so I pressed the paypal button and will get my money back I am sure but who knows what kind of a paypal employee might be processing that one; maybe a total brain-washed square!.

anyway...next time, if freebies are a deal breaker; do some negotiating or split the order to get you max quota with each order ;
of course this means you will pay more shipping, but if the extra shipping is cheaper than the cost of the freebies if you were to buy them then maybe its worth it.

on the subject of ordering from seed companies; I broke my golden rule with the aforementioned bunch cos I really wanted a certain strain;
I strongly recommend everyone makes a preliminary enquiry before ordering anything, whether its seeds, socks or sump oil;
if the company in question cant be arsed to respond to a potential customer,
how likely is it you will get any satisfaction (should there be any hassles) when they already have your money?
also freebie seeds; does anyone else think the policy of certain companies dishing out unknown strains is a joke;
any serious dude (male or female) is going to want to know what hes getting, if only so that he can apply appropriate growing techniques.

The best free seeds deals I've ever had (all the time) are from Mephisto. Even mix and matches end up less than 5.00 a seed average when you tally it all up and add a 10 percent AFN member discount.

Their genetics and service are first rate. A small 3 man company of hard-working breeders that deserve a lot of support.

Yep. I'm not tied to Mephisto in any way, but they give AFNers extra seeds and their strains are HOT.

The portal also gives a lot of bang for the buck and I hear nothing but solid reviews of their strains and service here. I'm running some of their Stone Dragons as we speak.

Haven't had any order that high from Herbie's but you should have had atleast 2 x 3pack freebies for 100 £. Otherwise it depends on which breeder has the freebies at the time. Best I think I've gotten an order down to was ~$7 a seed. ($150 order)

Went with mephisto this year. 100 pack pick and mix ended with 130 with freebies for $520 out the bank. Right at $4 per with 20 different strains. Feels like robbery for these prices.

Either way seed cost is minimal for growing. You'll spend more on supplies and energy usage than anything.


And the labor costs trimming those monsters.
