So I have a few seedlings around 11 days from germination and 7 days from sprouting, I’m using RO water pH at 6.5 with temps 76-77 F and 55-60 RH. I’m just curious to what’s going on here. I’m also using Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil. The light is at 3 FT away I have a few others that are growing good and 2 other that are a little slow in the grow progress. I’m using no nutrients of course and I’m just lost rn in my own thoughts, any suggestions? Also these are in 5 G pots

Any chance you can take a pic without the blurple light on it? Hard to see what’s going on.

I have these under the bloomspect 1200, waiting for 2 new Spiderfarmer SF4000’s :/ I don’t like these blurple lights

Looks like the soil is abit hot for the seedling, judging by the burnt tips. I’ve never used any FF soils, but someone who has may chime in.

Hot as in temp? Also I need to mention I just saturated the soil yesterday because I thought that might’ve been the problem, I was only watering around the seedling area and not enough to get most of the soil moist, what do you think?

Ocean Forest is considered to have a lot of nutes in it or "hot".

If I use FFOF I put it in the bottom of the pot and fill the rest with Fox Farms Happy Frog. This year I mixed just one bag of Happy Frog with Pro Mix HP and worm castings I get from a commercial night crawler business down the road from me. I get 30 lb. Bags for $4.00.

Worked fine for my outdoor grow this Summer. I'll use low level Fox Farms trio if it looks like nutrients are needed. The one time I used straight Ocean Forest for seedlings I ended up with severely stunted plants so I started just putting it in the bottom and never bought anymore of the OF for autos.

Thank you so much for this information! You guys are the best here. Did the seedlings recover and continue to grow in FFOF?
