Hey guys, also posted this in the infirmary, but I'm not sure if that's right?
So ill start this off with my setup and such and then we can move on to the problem.
Tent- 60x60x150cm
Light- Mars hydro Pro ii 450w (175w draw)
Pots- smart pots 3 gallon
Medium- biobizz light mix soil
Nutrients- biobizz grow and bloom
Parameters...
Temperature- 19-26c
Humidity- 40-45%
Water ph- 7.6 - 7.9

Okay so let's begin with the problem.. .... I've been growing autos for about two years now, have slowly upgraded my kit from budget amazon lights and tent to some better stuff.

My first grow was a single lowryder 2 that I followed the biobizz feed schedule during, and I'm pretty sure I made the soil toxic because I had all sorts of necrosis and yellowing and dark leaves from early in flower, ended up yielding 12g dry.

The next grow was with 2 plants, mystery seeds from mephisto. I used an autoflower feed schedule for these with biobizz and still ran into issues... . Rusty spots, yellow and dying leaves, and a deep red colour on stems of most leaves by harvest (also had red stems on the lowryder grow) this was the first grow with my new tent/light/extraction and I ended up yielding 28g a plant, so 56g in total.

The next grow was the one before the one I'm running now, one plant was a mystery seed by mephisto and one was an auto kush by seedsman. Same problem again, however this time I was lighter with the feed, I followed no schedule and just slowly increased the biobizz until I reached 3ml a litre of grow and bloom. But still, yellow and dying leaves with all sorts of spots and such.... Anyway I ended with 28g a plant again, 56g total!

So to sum up, all grows so far have had yellow and dying leaves, with rust spots, small leaf growth with maybe a blueish tint to them, dark big fan leaves and all plants have had very vibrant red stems to the leaves!

My current grow is 2 mystery seeds by mephisto, one is 48 days and in full flower and the other is about 35 days and just starting flower.... Same red stems again, leaves on the older plant look as if starting to go yellow and the small leaves looking a blue tint again. I will upload pics soon for reference!

I really need some expert advice to get me out of this rut, i cant figure out what it could be because it doesn't seem to point in any one direction and there are so many contradictory opinions online I don't know whether I'm coming or going!
I only grow for personal medication because I begrudge paying the amount people are charging for some meds now days... But I need to get over the 1 ounce a plant mark to see me through till the next grow (I've seen 5 ounce plants grown under the same light as me so I'm sure its doable with the right advice)

Please help me fix this and I will be eternally grateful

ImI not an expert, just a new grower myself, but one thing jumps out to me is your pH is way to high.
Most everyone I see keeps pH between 6.0 & 6.5.
I also introduce Oxygen to my water using an fish tank aerator.
If using tap water, let it sit for a day or two to allow chlorine to leave.
Get a pH pen and check before every watering / feeding.
Nutes will cause pH to fluctuate as well.
These are things I've found anyway.

Thanks for the replies peeps, my pH is 7.6-7.9 before mixing nutes in, after mixing my nutes it goes down to around 6.8.......
I was under the impression that biobizz worked with water up to a pH of 8 maximum?
Sadly my pH pen was cheap and I never got a reliable reading, always moving up and down and never settling so I never trusted it tbf.....money is a bit of an issue right now so I was thinking of ph drops instead of a pen, I know they aren't as accurate but I thought it would give me a rough enough reading when working with biobizz because it buffers itself..... Am I right in thinking this?
Also, my water is always sat for at least 24hrs before use!

I'll upload some pictures in 5 hours when the girls wake up :)

You need an accurate reading, the drops are a good start. But you need pH down. I don’t know if that’s true about Biobizz.

Any drops you can recommend? I just haven't got the dollar for a pen and the bits needed to keep it in tip top condition :( hopefully the pictures will reveal some more from you lot!

you need an accurate ph pen. ph way too high. must be buffered with ph down. the rang should be 6.4 to 6.5 for uptake of all nutrients. :2cents: soil ph should also be checked. a n accurate eight soil tester is a good one. but as you said finances are not to good at the moment. I know what that is all about.:nono::cheers:

In my uni house for my first couple of grows I was using organic pH down to adjust my nutes to the appropriate level. The plain water pH at that house was 8.3....at this point I also had a reliable pH pen (sadly got stood on) however the problem persisted, I have for this grow stopped using the ph adjuster and although the plants appear to be suffering still, it isn't quite as bad as the previous grows?
I assumed that the pH down was causing some sort of problem, but it can't be all down to pH if I've stopped using it and there are still problems, all be it the problems are slightly better this time?
I'll drag up some pics of my old grows in a minute and then get some of the current plants when they wake up (excuse the older pics though, poor phone and under led so very purple haha)

I also see in your list , that you are not adding any cal/mag. is this the case? I use 5ml per gallon when they are small, and up it to 10ml per gallon when larger.
plants under led need more.
