Lighting help me … Pimp my light ! (EU)

Resurrecting this old thread… I've got 2 of these lights, one has 4 working pods, the other only 3. I pulled them out of the cupboard thinking about using them as side lighting on my current grow starting mid-flowering.

I thought the chips were burnt, but now I'm seeing this effect happening and have no clue wtf is going on,have a look, especially the 3rd time I turn it off. Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on here, and if there is anything I can do to revive this light?

This thread was about swapping the chips out for newer one's, but quickly came to the conclusion it wasn't worth time and effort. I don't know, seems I have a total of 900w of working drivers wasted, only needing new chips - hoping to upgrade to something not blurple

Blurples still rock. If you can't grow great weed with it, 3500k wont do any good either. Having said this, absolutely, I'd be all down to switching these COBs over to whites. The only thing I can't stand is noise, and these lights make quite a bit. Originally, this thread was to repurpose these lights, hopefully without fans. Hence me asking if it made sense to get 100w chips and run them as 50w.

I just can't justify buying new lights just because, when I can still pull fantastic yields with blurples. At least until my current lights start crapping out.

Ideally, I could use these drivers for a DIY project, though I am electrically illiterate. Either that, or fix this light and sell it off for cheap to help finance new lights
