Love this network. Have been viewing this site and learning so much for months and finally have the courage to get on and give it a go.
I have started my first grow with CFL's in a small cupboard 0.50 x 0.50 x 1.4m. Lined inner with panda film, extraction exhaust is a small computer fan, air intake is with 2 x 25mm holes at bottom of cupboard (extraction pulls in), temp set at between 25-29 celcius, air circulation 23cm desk fan. Currently nine days into grow with 1 x white widow; 1 x green poison; 1 x AK-49 all appear to be healthy and on track. I am using 1 x 125w 6500K CFL and have a 2700K CFL which I intend to switch over when flowering starts. Growing medium is 1 part hortico potting soil, 1 part propagating sand and one part coarse vermiculite, good drainage and stable ph 6.5. Seeds were planted directly into 8inch (200mm) pots after 12 hours soaking between moist paper towel. I am using rain water, they have not had any feed, and there is no ferts/nutes in the potting soil apart from the organic matter already present.
I have been growing all sorts of things all of my life but have never attempted growing in a controlled environment
I am curious and love watching the plants grow, just praying for the ganja gods to be kind and let me harvest some decent bud.
