Hi everybody! I'm new here, been growing a few Autos with LED, done OK, but low yields (although great smoke!).
I have a 135W Blackstar LED lamp, in a 0.6 x 0.6 x 1.8 mts. closet, coated in Mylar, I grow in soil in 10 L pots.
I've grown two plants at a time (an Auto White Widow from Dinafem and a Calipso from Automaris)
So my first question would be...is the lamp power enough for 2 plants? should I only grow one at a time?
Should I try bigger pots?

I'm starting now a new grow of a Think Different from Dutch Passion (just germinated), so I want to start with the right foot!

Thanks!

:styles rasta: Woohoo Dutch Passion! You should start a thread in the new growers section, you'll get all your questions answered and bigger plants!! :peace:

Thanks guys! I'll take a look at the new growers section!

hey bushdktr, 10 liters should get you some pretty good yields but I don't know what you are comparing to when you say low yields. The 135 is pretty weak for two plants. You could probably grow one plant under it and get pretty close to the same harvest, maybe a slight bit less. I would consider bumping up your light system a bit if you can afford it. Maybe add CFL or T5 to supplement it or purchase another 135 and put them angling in towards the plants. There are several ways to do it but increasing your lights will definitely increase your yields. You may even consider going with a smaller HPS, something like a 250W would drastically increase your yields.

Anyways, just some ideas. Welcome to AFN, I hope you enjoy the site and we are glad to have you.

Welcome, bushdktr! :styles rasta:
Best advice is to go to the new growers forum (that's where I live right now :D:).
To repeat what the wise rebelroy once told me, "extra lights is never bad".
Personally, I'm in love with my 5 gallon mesh pots, giving the seeds a 24 hour soak and germinating in their permanent home.
No transplant stress, y'know? :D:

A great big welcome to you. I'm new here as we'll, and I must say this is the most friendly and helpful bunch of people I've come across in a very long time!
