I would just like to introduce myself. I am an early 30's guy 12 days into my first indoor grow. I have grown photo's outdoors for the past 3 years but fell in love with auto's about 2 months ago. I really appreciate all of the amazing knowledge shared by the growers here on the forum, past and present. I have learned so much, thank you.

I will be starting my first grow journal here within the next week or so. I have 7 Blue Himalaya Diesel that are 11 days old and are looking amazing. Short and very bushy. I have recently purchased a 48"x24"x60" tent as well as a 150 watt hps that I will be moving them into this weekend. I am going to hang the 2 125w CFL's I have been using into the tent, on each side of the HPS as well.

One question, I use 2 12 volt 4in fans (stronger than any computer fans I've found) for extraction now. I already have trouble keeping my temps below 82 degrees with my cab doors shut. What kind of fans will I need to grab for the tent with the addition of the 150w HPS? The tent has spots for 4" or 6" fans. My ambient temps are about 72 degrees.
Journal coming very soon. Thanks

Welcome to the AFN man autostart! Let us know if you need anything.

Welcome to AFN. I would suggest you get yourself a 4" inline fan and while you're at it, a carbon filter. Here's what I've been using with good success for the past couple of years.

I would also suggest hooking the fan to a variable speed controller which will allow you to control the fan speed and fine tune your ventilation as well as reduce the noise a bit.

Will be keeping up with this AUTOSTART good luck. I'm also on my first grow people on AFN are so friendly and helpfull so your in the right place I'm learning so much from the AFN users. Our grows sound similar check it out peace auto start :smokebuds:

I use that exact same fan and filter too. Works great. Here's the Speed Controller I use and recommend. http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/active-air-variable-speed-fan-control-p-2263.html

I really truly do appreciate the warm welcome from everyone, it really means a lot. Yeah as soon as UPS delivers the HPS this afternoon I will be taking pics of the new setup and starting an official journal. Hopefully be set up this weekend. Right now I'm using a cab I built but came into a few hundred extra bucks and decided to get somewhat professional with my setup. My thumb seems to be pretty green so far outdoors so hopefully it is indoors as well. Its 12 days today since 4 of the HBD popped through the soil, I swear the 1 very bushy one is shooting a pistil or 2 on top already. Possible this early? and is it bad news the other 3 12 day olds aren't (I used 7 regular seeds)? Avg. F to M ratio of the HBD anyone, just an average?

Thanks again ya'll, it's nice to feel welcomed.
