Hey dog 43

Could you give us more info about your setup. What kind of medium are you growing in how far along are your plants? what kind of lighting you're using?

In that type of medium, it's inert, you should probably be using the General Hydroponics Trio. Or some people use just the micro and the bloom that's called the Lucas formula.

You will also need a pH pen and it wouldn't hurt to have an EC or TDS meter. If you decided to go with the trio you could use the General Hydroponics drain to waste schedule. You could also look around and see if you could find the Lucas formula schedule.

Usually when people use peat they use some kind of buffer like Dolomite lime it takes a bit of experience to mix up. Peat is very low pH in most cases unless you bought some already buffered.

Because of the low pH of the peat you will likely have to feed at a much higher input pH than typical. You will also need to water and feed together every time and water to run off.

If this is sounding kind of complicated you're correct peat and perlite are very poor medium for a new grower to start off in.

How far along are you? Could you start over in soil if you wanted to? If you wanted to buy all the meters and everything it would actually be smart to switch to Coco and it's much easier.
