Getting ready for my first grow. My space (2 foot by 2 foot width, 4 foot height) is a little cool (60 degrees), was told to get a heat mat to keep the soil temp up. I stumbled upon a heated bucket: http://www.menards.com/main/plumbin...rs/5-gallon-heated-bucket/p-135276-c-8647.htm
Think this would kill two birds with one stone? Heat the soil and hold the plant?

Also looking for any good recommendations on a decent CFL for this space (size, watts, brand, etc.). Thanks!

why not just get a small space heater for like 25 bucks? it will keep the soil as the same temp as the room is.

One problem with that bucket. From that product description. "Thermostatically controlled to operate only when necessary. On at 35F, Off at 60F" Looks like you are back to square one. But that said, you can add more lighting to raise the temp, as Muddy suggested. If your room temp goes up, so does the soil temp.
Green Karma on your grow.
