Man, all things not as planned! I had another (the last one) HBD bean freeze up on me @ seedling stage. Really bumming out about the genetics I have chosen to breed. I have to see this through as I just cannot afford another order from a seed bank. I did write a few letters to the seed purveyors responsible for these strains. We shall see if Short Stuff and/or Original Sensible Seed Co's have any desire to keep their customers happy and growing. Herbies (loved them until I read their disclaimer that basically absolves them from any and all responsibilities regarding the viability of what they are selling. They say it is for prosperity or some sort of novelty or some such BS, I don't expect to hear from them on the matter.
While I appreciate the service and all these great genetics being available, the seed co.'s are getting a pretty penny from us and should stand by their wares. They are getting $10+ PER SEED, we've seen how many seeds a bush can produce. I feel they should back up the non-germs even if some ARE the growers fault, they can afford a few extra beans here and there. Maybe a bean trading site is in order...
