Photoperiod Haze's eurogrow bubble gum and caramel. + free seed Dinafem auto mystery (completed)

Just at the end of week 7 from seed:
This week thinking of throwing in some PK13/14 for one week only. For autos only.

Just done some more LST on the Dinafem girls, I've think they've stopped their stretch now, so trying to get it in good shape for light penetration to the inner budsites.

Dinafem#1:
There seems to be less bud sites on this plant than the other, but more compact and bigger buds. Smells slightly fuely to me, and judging by the shape of the leaves it is either a hybrid or indica. I have a crap nose to be completely honest so I'll have to get a second opinion.

Definitely many more buds on this plant, and a much more slender shape, the branches are long and spread out, with lots of lots of bud sites. However they are smaller than the first plant. The leaves are super skinny and pointy, looks like a high % sativa. Super fresh sweet smell, can't quite touch on what it is though.

I'm so gutted I didn't know they were autos, I think I could've had some monster nugs on them if I didnt top them. But instead I topped each main branch twice! Now i have loads and loads of smaller buds sites. They may possibly fatten up nicely still, but only time will tell. Still looking better than my previous outdoor grows though...

So all the bits finally arrived. Got the water reservoir set up for a test last night.

I use an air pump with 2 air stones, thebauto water timer and a wave maker to make sure all nutrients are mixing constantly.

I will get more pictures after work of all seperate parts and show how I use them

So definitely agree with all the stuff I read online, not worth running Biobizz soil nutes in an automatic watering system. The nutrients are apparently less effective the longer they have been mixed. And also it's not a pretty sight to come back to, leaves brown scum all in the tub and all over the equipment. So I will still use it but only for the time period I'm away over Christmas or for any other planned absence. In future I hope to use biotabs or supersoil. Leaning more towards tabs as it's more user friendly and easier to obtain.

But lets take a look at the plants...

Day 54 for both Dinafems.

looking chunky on the buds, still a way to go I hope though. Looks like it's taken a battering, I'm not 100% sure on this one, I think mostly underwatering to begin with, but now I'm not sure if it's naturally starting to use up its stores. Been going by this schedule I found online for autos.

But the damage was already done by the time I switched to this feed. And also the DF#2 had exactly the same treatment. And looks a lot happier in the leaves than this one.

Buds are more slender on this plant but a lot more bud sites. Smelling quite a bit now, but the carbon filter seems to be holding up.

All the training seems to be going good on the plants, they're bouncing back and growing like crazy. I've had to place the autos up on top of pans to make up for the lighting needs. Also raising my light up, I think it may have been a bit close and could have stressed the DF#1.

@Dinafem-Mark tagged you a couple times but no word from you yet. What possibilities do you think I have on my hands here with your expert eyes? I know one smells like the S5 haze that I've been smoking recently. And the other it's hard to work out at all. New smells to me...

Day 56 end of week 8 update

Not much to be said here really, everything seems to be progressing well. The DF#1 has been looking a bit unhappy but it still seems to be producing nice buds.

Photos are getting bigger and bigger by the day, having to keep tying them down more and more.

Water tank seems to be doing well, I'm pleased with all the kit. Makes it a lot easier to water the nutes to three plants automatically. Even though it is a bit scummy after a couple of days, I just top up the water in it and add a little more nutes aiming for around 800ppm and pH of 6.4.

I finally got an Adwa pH pen from the local shop and makes it so much easier to keep an eye on all the numbers. Finding it really helpful already. And with the accurate 8 and a ppm meter all I need is to combine them effectively.

I'm going to wait to switch the photos to 12/12 until after the autos are finished. I don't want to complicate things if I'm going away for a week. So as of New year's Day I'll be switching to full flower. And I can't wait to see what these girls will produce, especially given the extra veg time. They will get just over 12 weeks of veg and this way I'll fill up the space that my autos will leave behind when it comes harvest day.

Day 61 update

Coming up to end of week 9, the bubblegums and the caramel are getting big and bushy, trying to keep their height down with LST but these things are fighting back hard! Once the autos are done I will put the SCROG nets down and fill them out as much as possible before flowering them.

Both the Dinafems suffered a bit of P + K deficiencies, upped the bloom to 4 ml/l and adding pk boost every other feed. Also giving 2ml/l grow. 3ml/l algamic. 3ml/l topmax. And pHing to 6.4 with canna organic pk down.

But despite the deficiency they seem to be putting on some weight, it's hard to tell if it's going well as I don't know what strains they are and I have nothing to compare them to. But I think the more indica one should be ready to start flushing next week maybe? It would be the start of week 10 from seed and given 2 weeks flush that would be 12 weeks total. Seems to be what most people recommend from what I've read, but please feel free to correct me if you think I can push the nutes another week. As for the other more sativa plant I will try to push it to week 12 before flush.

End of week nine is here, start of week ten tomorrow! After doing some more reading and organising and checking dates, week 10 will be the last week of nutrients for both autos. I'm away for Christmas and don't want to leave these too close to me leaving for a week.

So hopefully in jars by Christmas! And photos flipping on new years day.

Heres a better look at the photos, generally happy with them but I didn't start seeing one of them going pale. So checked out the resevoir and it turns out even though I was pHing it to 6.4, by the next day it rose to 8.3. so I've scrapped using it as a nute Res. Watering by hand and will only use the pump for the week I'm away. And when I start using biotabs or similar.

Hey guys, just a quick post. Things are on track, last week of feed. Then just plain water to cruise these girls home for a week or 2. The DF1 is starting to change colour, whether it's a genetic trait or a problem .I will get some photos soon to show you all .I hope it's genetic!!
