New Grower Has she hermied?

Shit on a stick. DId you just find this?
Yup... after my first post on this thread... cleaning out the underbrush before full flower and there they were.

@Waira, I left a note on their customer service thread. Politely of course. I'm not pissed, disappointed maybe, but it did provide some facinating pics that may help someone else along...
Plus she was one of two, so still have a 4 am running...and... a 4 am that just stabilized at 62% in the jar... hard to be pissed!

Something I was pondering over a bowl...
Every herm I've had, has had "a look" about the plant overall... a little more sickly, droopy looking, not like something's wrong, but more like something might be going south. They've always kinda stuck out thru the grow, being the ones that required more attention.

:smoking:...Hmmm, you're likely onto something Arty,... like she had a poor constitution, nothing overt maybe, just seemed "off" somehow,... was she problematic with nutes, lighting? Or any stress events? I'm thinking triggering factor here, though that's not always needed for expression of this,...

She had a soil ph drift that dropped into the 5.9s, I'm running a calcium based nute line that ph requirements are higher, 6.2-6.4 veg 6.6-6.8 bloom. Bark breakdown in my medium was causing the drift, but none of my other mephisto gals were affected by it...

nar, that's not bad enough to trigger,... (that Hecno has me thinking in Aussie-)... I've had photo's in the low 5's and not even show much stress, just P defc. kicking off,.... but then, I have the A8 and can spot and fix rapidly!

I've been looking at bluelabs they've got a soil ph probe, tests fluid as well... I was burnt along time ago by soil ph testers to I've always slurried. PITA in 3 gal pots... and bluelabs has a rock solid rep.

.. they do have fine gear! The A8 is just a quickie tester IMO, and at +/-0.2 it's usually close enough,... of course it works on entirely different principles, and so isn't the best for sheer accuracy, there are some plain limitations on such a design! ANd there are some definite tricks to getting good readings,.... slurry is a good way to go, but the draw back is that PITA factor, and the damage it does to roots getting into the prime root zone,...
